twilight soon , excellent evening sound , still noisy
last active freighter 707 at Ostend
operations till the end of March 2004
SU-AVZ with Burbank Aeronautical stage 3 hushkits , some fuel consumption improvement and supposedly less noisy , but not that much
love the 707

thank you ,Robert i do not waste my time on current designs , visually boring and no style , i always compare jetplanes with cars , today stuff is most disappointing , living in the past can be a good thing , if not always , but often so for me , i am vintage 1958 , can explain my feelings , remembering the glorious past

Patrick so sweet still in flight the reliable old timers from fifty and sixty years ago. I have said it before, Max Ward of Wardair Canada was right if you maintain the planes they last for years. Wardair was Canada's one class airline the B747's carried 452 passengers total. Lovely even to see so many beautiful old planes on the apron at Ostende. Patrick have a great week and catch you on the next flight.

Wardair! Gosh - those were the days. Used to watch Wardair @ YYZ all the time from the old Terminal 1 parking garage. Only flew Wardair once - on their A310 between YYZ and YUL. A great airline.

Probably a noted Canadian in avaition, just a guess.

4 miles from Kennedy and every three minutes right over my house growing up during the 60's and 70's and partial 80''s.... 707's and DC-8's, my favorites, but you had to stop talking until they passed . Before cable, they even screwed up your TV picture for a few seconds !

Cargo planes have relatively lower turnover, so they just sit there still and silent, and there were so many of them at Ostend then: such an unbelievable place.

got a new paint job before those nacelles were installed at Burbank , Cal , the previous identity was ex National Aviation with plane tail silhouette removed , before its USA visit , plane was resprayed in white paint , except for Memphis Air titles visited Ostend a few times like this, this recording dates from 02/12/2001 ,4.05PM, destination for once unknown , in my logbook i wrote that teletext TV ( Ceefax ) was not working , a grey " winter " day resulting in good sound 😉 , 707 activity was still very nice , 5 707 movements that day , including legendary TMA , thanks for appreciation Wim

@@cchris874 , i would approve , with modern big fan engines , as the KC135 , but the sleek lines are gone , is all about economics , sadly tri-holers will be gone soon as well , Western Global status difficult , at least the iconic 747 is still alive , sadly the future belongs to twin-engined jets , no style

@@cchris874 , of course , i sure would approve , but JT3D is history , big fan engines could secure its future , as KC135 does , this spoils the sleek lines somewhat , but everything goes to keep the legend alive , on the other hand 3 and 4 engined designs are sadly on their way out , MD11 soon gone possibly , Western Global chapter 11 , at least the 747 will soldier one , is all about economics
