It just blows my mind how close you can get to those pigs. So many times too. Where I and my son spot/stalk it is dang near impossible to-get closer than 20yards. Usually it’s like 25 +. Of course that’s really a chip shot most of the time at 25. Sometimes I think you are like 10 yards. This is ANOTHER dang cool video. Got some meat for the hounds and a deer for you. 👍👍👀👀

Old pigs are relatively easy aslong as you’ve got the wind. After spending 6 months hunting pigs then going back to chase deer i soon realize I have to put in a bit more effort haha.

It depends a lot on which broadhead one uses. Ready made arrows at the local box outdoors store can go from $5-6-7- plus which broadhead. For the DIY person shafts, nocks, bushings, insert weights can be from $160-170 to $250 a dozen. Decent quality broadhead can go from $ 10-15 each. High end heads are up to $50 each. I’m thinking his arrows are in $40 range complete?

Probably could go try find them if I wanted to mate. Although I’ve had a few hunts since and have only seen a handful of dead ones.

I hate it mate big waste. Especially when my main income is shooting. They probably shot close to 60 thousand in deer and just left rot.

@@huntlife7867 totally agree with you i hate it too , they could have at least tried to round them up alive and put them to good use the farmers should even try that and make some extra money out of them instead of just letting them rot

I live in S Aust, here the choppers can't shoot over your land unless you give them permission todo so. Are you in NSW or QLD? Can't the landowner prevent the slaughter? Love your video great work and good hunting.

Here in Texas landowners have to give permission to copter hunters. Any hunter. Of course they will for pigs and coyotes, no deer or other species.

They do have too give permission mate but most of them are pretty keen on it. Over the years we had pretty bad deer problems. But now the game meat industry has picked up deer are $2.20kg so it’s a massive waste just to leave them rot.

@@huntlife7867 nearly all the pigs killed are processed on site by volunteers and the pork is given to local food banks for about anyone who needs food assistance. I’ve never done the chopper hunts as it’s like $850 to $1000. Per hour air time. No state funds are used. It’s a private affair.

@@huntlife7867 curious why you couldn’t box deer and pigs off this property yourself with the impending choppers? Surely would’ve been able to keep numbers down yourself, keep the cocky happy and run them through the chillers thus no waste.. ?

They contact the landholders most of the time Mate.

Measure twice cut once. U ranged him, moved Ur sight and then didn't range him again. Prob took a step while u were moving the sight and didn't realise. Happens to everyone. Hopefully the helicopter doesn't get them all on you
