In the 70’s and 80’s I carried a 1911. Last year I put my G19 up and tried the 1911 again. Whoa baby is that heavy. Yep, I’m sticking with the G19.

I've said this elsewhere: My Beretta 92 is breathtakingly beautiful, my Makarov is exciting to shoot, my EDC is a Shield Plus, and I love my old school revolvers. That said, my firearms collection is considered complete only because of my trusty Glock 19 Gen5 MOS. I presently rock mine in a Recover 20/20 brace...🥰🔫

I really enjoy watching your videos - interesting topics, well thought out, logical, and concise. A rare combination in YT world. My EDC is currently a CZ P10C. For some reason I shoot it better than anything else, even my G19.

Yep, still carry one. A Gen 3 made in around 2008-9. I keep a spare of the same year around. I bought a Gen 5 G-19 almost two years ago. I reaallyyy liked it and thought as a whole, it actually was an improvement, albeit pretty quaint improvements, of the platform. I found something out though pretty quickly; I got spoiled on the good old crappy, hard wall trigger breaks of old that seemingly half of Glock shooters "don't" like. Turns out I liked them better than I thought I didn't and by way of realizing that on account of my dislike for the Gen 5's more rolling break. Live and learn. Being a Glock trigger snob is sort of like being classed an a fast food aficionado. It's ridiculous but that's what happened, that's my story, and I'm sticking with it. Thanks for the video.

I like a lot of different compact 9mm handguns, however, the Glock 19 is the “go to war” handgun that I trust my life to, and is built like a tank. It’s the AK-47 of the handgun world.

My G19 gen 3 is the most reliable semi-auto handgun I've ever owned in 30 years. Yeah.........I still rock it and proudly so. In fact I just gave it an "upgrade" by adding a Hogue Handell rubber grip to it. Love it even better in the hand now than ever before.

Agreed TOTALLY... My M-F Daily Carry is a Larry Vickers/Wilson Combat Glock 19! Weekends I stray into the 1911 realm as the son of a Custom 1911 Pistolsmith, but weekdays I live in the Glock World knowing that it is going to run if "God Forbid I need it" ';-)

I used to tote a Glock 30. I probably shouldn't have sold it. With a better holster, I could have made it easier to carry. But on so many occasions, I just threw a J-Frame in my pocket. I swear there is nothing like carrying a gun that you barely know is there. I will never knock the Glock. It's not perfection, but it is a reliable firearm.

I just started really enjoying the Glock platform. I naturally gravitated towards the Glock 19 gen 5 and 17 gen 5 platform for the ease of use, the aftermarket support, and large surplus of parts. Just as I'm really into assembling my own AR15 uppers and lowers to the exact configuration and look I want, I can do the same with Glock, hence why I just naturally gravitated towards it. There are plenty of other gun manufacturers making much more feature rich pistols than Glock out of the box but I just can't deny how easy they are to work on, find parts and magazines for and they seem to work well abet how much or what kind of modification you do it.

I've carried a revolver for year's, but when I want a backup I appendix carry my 19 with a mic holster. It just clip's on over the trigger guard and tie the pull string to my belt. That way I can't fire it until I'm ready to shoot. I don't want to have an ADC and shoot something I might want to use later. I've used them for year's and I got them from the Glock store. Their used to be video's on KZbin about them, the first one I remember is The Yankee Marshall.

Being an unashamed 1911 fan I have for years carried a small Kimber every day, but they are heavy and short on rounds. When I saw the new S&W CSX, I thought I died and went to heaven. Almost a thousand rounds later, I still feel that way. The single action I love, familiar controls, greats size and weight and all the rounds I could ever want.

Went to my local gun shop a couple years ago to trade my Gen3 G19 in on a Gen4 G26. The guy at the counter actually tried to talk me out of doing the trade. I did it anyway and now love the G26. Still rocking my g19 gen5 with a tlr7 light and a trijicon rmr. Sometimes, I switch to my good old s&w m&p shield when I feel lazy, but overall, I'm still in love with the g19. I tried the m&p 2.0 compact for about 4 months, but that grip texture is really harsh. Been considering checking out the hellcat pro, specially now that fin feather and fur has them with the standard magazines plus 4 additional mags for the same price.

Carrying my glock 19 Gen 5 right now. I'm actually a revolver man but own a large variety of sidearms and continually rotate what I carry. The clock is dependable and I don't worry about having it out in terrible weather. Because it is reasonably priced and easily replaced if something should happen it's a good utility firearm that anyone can count on to protect their life.

Great video, thanks for objective informative content. Ive gone through several carry guns and settled on the Walther CCP - the hand feel and ergonomics are just spot on for me, and in two tone stainless / black it's a handsome fun. I shoot a Glock 34 with a Delta Point Pro for target shooting and an occasional match. Stock but for an after market trigger - I never liked Glocks until I shot.

I'm the same way. I've carried and trained with a Glock of one type or another since 1992 and wouldn't have it any other way. Most of the other pistols I own are the full-sized all-steel hammer-fired and/or competition-oriented variety. They're better looking, cooler, more expensive, and better at what I use them for, but I wouldn't use anything but a stock Glock for defensive carry. I've always referred to them as the F150 of firearms.

I have, and like, my Glock 19 though I prefer a manual thumb safety. Just me and I feel more secure and safe. After many different firearms, including the Glock 19, Walther CCP and Springfield XD, my favorite is the S&W M&P 2.0. If you haven't tried one, you should. I think S&W hit something special in the ergonomics area. My hands are medium and like most polymer firearms, offer a few grip backs. For me, this one just feels so natural for my hands.

My carry choice....Glock 22. I know its a full frame and not a compact. When I started law enforcement we carried the Glock 17 and could also qualify with the Glock 19, which most of us did. I don't remember the exact year when we were allowed to qualify with the Glock 22 and make it our duty weapon. But since that day, it has been my every day carry. I am getting a lot older now, retired from law enforcement and have the retired LEO aches and pains and then some. Recently I have been considering going back to the Glock 17 or 19. They are both just a little lighter and a little less recoil on an old body. If I do change my carry, I think more than likely it wil be the 17. The 19, being a compact seems to give my arthritis more issues. Now that might be over come by more practice and strengthening of muscle memory. Glocks are boring to look at, nothing fancy. Just a plain grey/black wrapper. But, there is no denying their ease of employment, accuracy and dependability.

Had a 19 long ago, and it was one of the first U.S. imports with the factory adjustable rear sight. My department forced us to carry autoloaders, and the issued Beretta 92 sucked. Had the option of buying my own pistol, but Glock was the only other option. So I bought the 19. Never really grew to like it and sold it after I retired. Two years ago, I bought a 19 Gen4, in an effort to give it another try. Nope! Burning several hundred rounds through it I still did not like it. It was like holding a 2x4 with a slide attached. It was gone in three months. I could never like Glock pistols. If I want to carry an autoloader I'll carry my 1911A1 in 45ACP. Better caliber and superior grip.
