Sitting at 11 inches away you're only getting just over 104 PPi. That isn't exactly super sharp - by definition, these displays are not intended for that. They just appear to be an oxymoron. ** I should add, you would need to sit around 30+ " away to gain that super sharp clarity. At which point due to table distance, the same could be achieved with a 32" 4K. You would be better of purchasing a smaller display for the desktop, to make use of that 4K clarity, sharpness. Or even an Ultra-Wide. Each to their own though!

I have the ktc 42in old 138hz just got it for 850 love it.. its lg best panel and awesome biggest issue is 48 lbs so very rare vesa mounts I think one fits over 35 lbs

Finding a heavy duty mount was paramount when getting a large monitor. 48lbs is a lot but thanks to modern tech, monitors are improving everyday!

What is the highest zoom you can get on this monitor without compromising the picture quality (like without getting the image all fuzzy etc.)

I probably wouldn’t go lower than 1680pixels because depending on your operating system, you may get very blurry images since this display is pretty much a 4K monitor.

What is the peak brightness compared with a90k 42?

450 nits (rated), 140.4 nits (tested), 700 nits (with HDR). I’d say it’s definitely television quality/territory where I always have to keep the brightness level at 50% anyway. The a90k is a great contender too and I’m curious about that. Thanks for the thought and I’ll look into it.

For sure. Gotta double check though that although cheaper, you dont get G-Sync with the Sony i believe and with a quick check, some users are having issues with the A90K. Still looking into it but just check out some reviews first before making a pricey purchase ;)
