They're great pair of headphones but I recently get audio cutting or sometimes a whoosh sound at random times. I repeatedly unplugged the 3.5mm jack off the headset and plugged back again by slightly twisting it in clock-wise direction until it locks. But again, still getting a complete audio cut or white noise whooshy sound in the left cup. I'll give it one more go before returning it back.

Worth noting another reason why it isn't ideal for broadcast as no XLR - without a few bulky adaptors or two, also interesting that the rodecaster can't accommodate the mic either - really is just for gamers, streamers, and people who spend their lives on zoom/teams

Might not be ideal, but definitely gets the job done for podcast, and as a talkback mic that is far more than acceptable.

Sad to say, but, a crack already started to appear on the „problem part” of my Rode NTH-100 headphones, and I will soon have to send the headphones in warranty already, I hope in the future Rode could reinforce this locking mechanism casing.

Had a non-crack issue and the warranty turnaround time is mere days from when they have received it. Worth noting that the headphone warranty has been upgraded from two years to a lifetime warranty, so it looks like they're confident that everything is fixed.

Doesn't sound muffled, it sounds great. Sound better than your other mics what you use in this video ;). Shure sm7b is actually very muffled sounding mic, I have no idea why it's so popular, most over rated mic, even the direct copy of it presonus pd-70 sounds way better and is soooo much cheaper.

i just received my rode nth 100m today, i can hear all the rubbing sound when i touching the cable or cable gliding on my shirt. its like a "papercup telephone"... maybe im too used to my open back headphone? or is it the cable material causing the annoying sound?

That's a fairly normal experience with wired headphones. I've never used open back so it could be a closed back thing but basically, sound is just vibration and the vibration from the cable doesn't have anywhere to go except into the cup for the most part. This is something I've experienced with every pair of headphones I've used with a wire/cable.

@@archangeldeltius1511 the problem with rode is that it was so annoying that makes me wanna smash my table... i just returned that and exchanged for an epos openback with detachable mic (similiar to my old sennheiser game one openback) . they have much much less cable noise. guess if i ever wanna purchase a new closed back one i would go for wireless one

@@redhongkong Maybe it is an open vs close thing, all I can say is I've never had a pair with zero cable noise, I mean some fabrics can have different noise production, like if it's a less smooth surface it'll create more sound I reckon

@@archangeldeltius1511 i did searched youtube review to find out if anyone mentioned that cable noise problem. and i found some ppl do mention about it. thats the moment i decide to return it. its not my ear been "senstive". the rubber coating is bouncy like a guitar string, maybe if they put some kind of nylon casing / coiled cable might help isolate that noise transfer. i do own a pair of bluetooth closedback really long time ago. this is my first pair wired one, it gives me really bad impression on wired closeback headphone.

You've got the mic far too far away from your mouth, moving it closer will surely help the audio quality and help reduce it capturing background noise

Cheaper to buy them separately. You can get the headphones for £75 from most places and the mic for less than £60.

I don't wanna be that guy, but you lost a lot of money if you actually tossed the "old ones" out... because you can buy the mic itself for 60 bucks and attach it to the original model, which already had the option to get the cable on either side... just sayin' :/
