OMG if I new it was stereo in I would have got it along time ago 🤘

I’ve had this pedal for years, so it was good to see someone new to it do an excellent demo. Really well done. You’re also right about it not getting the appreciation it deserves. Some of the paid demos of it were very half-arsed, and frankly lazy. Your demo showed off all the sounds and features well and I agree, it’s a bit of a shame NUX don’t update this pedal with the firmware to enhance it. I think they could improve the octave shimmer effect much more too, but an excellent all round pedal and a bargain too.

I got this from Aliexpress many years ago, some have come and gone, but this has never left my pedalboard. So much stuff you can do with it. It's so inspiring to use to this day.

Great Review. I have just ordered one. It's very nice to have a reviewer who is articulate and can also really play!

Very kind, thanks! Hope you enjoy the pedal! NUX sent me the Cerberus, after having made this video. I've used it for every gig since it arrived. It has the Atlantic built in to it, along with some other useful features and allows me to save presets of any of the settings. Quite a nifty bit of kit, I'm just working on the video for it. I'll carry on using the Atlantic for my home setup though, so I can leave my live rig in the gig bag. Cheers, Ben.

Seems like a lot of pedal for the money and looks really well made too. On my list now.

It's definitely good bang for the buck, I've been enjoying it on gigs. It seems solid, but I've only had it a couple of months so can't speak on its durability. Definitely worth a look if you're after verb and delay and have a modest budget like I do! Cheers, Ben.

A good pedal that. I've seen reviews of it from a year or more ago and it still sounds good. About your last video Ben, I enjoyed the track very mutch and put up a comment saying so, but it has been taken down 🤔 I think it was becauuse I mentioned a site where you could put it up for sale. Anyway it was very good 👍🏻

It's a solid pedal, I've had some good live sounds from it. Thank you! That's very odd that it got removed, I wonder why they chose to do that? Obviously they don't want musicians making any money! I made 0.036 pence by putting it on KZbin. If I write a whole album, I could make as much as one penny after tax! Ha! Check out Michael Mannring if you haven't done already. Incredible solo fretless bass stuff. This is probably the most well known video of him on KZbin, but it's a good one... kzbin.info/www/bejne/l4qXg5RogLSsl9U

@@BenFletcherGuitar Cheers Ben, he is pretty cool, I will have a look into him in detail later. I use to listen to a bit of Mick Karn fretless stuff. He played bass for the band Japan years ago. There is defo something I prefer about fretless, especially when it is played as dynamically as that.

Great great demo, as all demos should be (plus you know your classics, I was impressed by your Albert Collins playing style). Anyway, did you notice that on the 80’s delay there’s like a slight triplet pattern (it repeats only the last of the triplets). I tried to change with the subdivisions and tap tempo but it’s permanently here. It doesn’t really bother me though. Some people say freeze can work on one note only but mine is freezing every note. It seems I have an updated Atlantic so I don’t really know. Do you know if there’s an option to cut the trails?

can you help me, to explain fx loop with this pedal( bugera v22 infinium amp) I assume input( send) mono( return)? great video btw!!
@djb35452 ай бұрын
Nice video! -10db for normal guitar/amp? I’m not familiar with what a hot send is (sv20?).
@BenFletcherGuitar2 ай бұрын
Thank you! My amp (Marshall SV20H) is a none master volume plexi style head. If you want more gain, you have to turn it up. In doing that for some reason it sends more signal to the send of the effects loop, so you end up clipping (another word for distorting, but in this case a horrible way) the input of whatever effect you've placed in the loop. The -10DB should theoretically allow you to send more level to the unit before it distorts, which is handy if I were to use my effects loop. Cheers, Ben.

Hello Ben, do you still own and use your atomic amplifire box pedal? The Nux is very popular. I am looking to replace my pod 2.0 and I just don’t want to spend a ton of cash. I know it’s older, have you ever use the tonex pedals? Excellent playing and production as always. Thanx 👍🤓

Hi, Tim! I still own it, but I haven't used it for a long while. I will fix it and sell it at some point. I had issues with it losing its settings on gigs. I lost confidence in it, because you can't edit the sounds without a USB and a laptop. Obviously I don't have those things with me on a gig, but I decided the whole concept of menu or app based editing systems wasn't working for me. I switched to something called the DSM Humbolt Simplifier MK2. One of my recent videos is about it. I pair it with an inexpensive IR loader that Sonicake sent me a few years ago. I like this setup, it's basically like having a head and a cab on a small pedalboard, then you just use your regular guitar pedals with it. The video will make it seem like I don't like it, but I think it sounds great and works in a very analogue way. I think IR's are the biggest leap forward in modelling tech. Captures are cool, but don't respond to your guitar's volume control in the same way as a model (in my opinion anyway). I know it's the latest and greatest thing, but they're very accurate at replicating specific conditions. Specific amp settings, specific input gain, but the second you deviate from that, it's no longer a realistic response. A lot of players never change the volume or tone on their guitar though, so it just won't matter to them. Anyway my point being, get something with user IR slots and most things can be made to sound great. I like my setup because everything is separate, but that's just me not wanting to wear glasses on stage and mess with menus! By the way, those Atomic units can be had for very little used. You could land on a bargain and they do still sound good. I hope that some of my rambling helps! Cheers.

Thanx Ben. I’m using my old pod and I don’t play out just me at home. I have heard the modelers react more to volume. I’m always torn when it comes to spending more money on new gear. I will dive in to your videos now more that winter is fast approaching here in Chicago land. Thanx again. 🤘💪🤓

Is the decay knob just for reverb?
@BenFletcherGuitar4 ай бұрын
Yes, you have repeats, time and volume for the delay, then decay and volume for the verb. Nice and simple.
