You have to hope they develop slightly more powerful versions of thevengine, the interior is a bit of an upgrade and they have thrown a bit of equipment and tech at it to also comply eith new regs. Good news driving as per the old model will involve keeping momentum going through the bends we like our SZL quite a lot.

Hey Anthony, thanks for stopping by to watch and share your thoughts on the video & the Swift I can't see Suzuki producing any other variants of engine choice - as mentioned in other comment thread, I'm surprised to see Suzuki are still making the Swift with the way the car industry is crazily killing of the small car (thought we was all meant to be more environmental aware) But I'm hoping we see a Swift Sport arrive as the platform is great, especially the value for money too As I said in the video, the car is more of freshen up from the previous generation rather than a full redesign (again, the killing off of small cars) so it's the case of would you rather Suzuki kill the Swift off or continue to produce a small sporty car attainable for a larger mass of people? Again, thanks for watching and getting involved in the comments section 😀 👍🏼 All the best

Great little car. Their only issue is the paint suffers badly from stone chipping. I hope Suzuki addresses this issue.

Think this is the case for many B segment vehicles on the market these days, Ford are known for this especially on my ST180 - the paint is paper thin 👎🏼 Thanks for watching!

@@PocketRockets I've been lucky enough to have picked up a Swift Sport (hybrid) this week and I'm having a vinyl wrap put on the bonnet to protect it, as the standard Swift I traded was peppered with stone chips in this area.

Good shout! It's a shame to do it but for long term ownership it's well worth it

@@PocketRockets thanks for your reply I actually watched all your vids on Focus ST, but the new "Track Pack" on the latest ST is a massive upgrade that will completely change how the car drives. I highly recommend you check it out..

Would you pick i20 or swift ?
@PocketRockets3 ай бұрын
That's a very good question, I'd initially say the i20 for better refinement and choice overall But then you look at price/affordability between them both and Swift takes the i20N by a country mile Both fantastic cars for the money but if money was no object - i'd say i20 Thanks for watching!

Great vid man but here are my thoughts. I have the previous model SZ5 Mild Hybrid with 1.0L 3 cyl Boosterjet Engine which has 109bhp. Got to say very underwhelmed by the new model, it just looks lie a facelift of my car. Slightly different at the front, and the tail lamps slightly different as well. Interior is almost identical apart from the larger infotainment screen. Overall the car is not that much different. The main disappointment is the engine only delivering a measly 81bhp, don't get me wrong I love my Swift, but to release a new model almost identical, with a lesser powered engine that is so much slower is a backwards step by Suzuki. BTW having now had a test drive in the new model a few weeks back I can confirm it is like a snail on valium compared to The 1.0 SZ5 Boosterjet Engine, I was actually shocked at how much slower it was. Again I absolutely love my current Swift as it has everything, but current owners will be massively put off by a ridiculous loss in performance of a so called new model,and many like myself will not purchase this 'clone' of the previous model with a woefully underpowered engine.

Hey Killian, thanks for stopping by the channel and watching! I understand your points, and I agree. I didn't feel like I was truly experiencing a new Swift, mainly because the car itself hasn't changed much apart from the looks and engine platform. The rest of the car really follows its predecessor's design. I haven't driven a 1.0 Boosterjet in a while (probably about 3-4 years ago), so I can't recall the engine characteristics for a direct comparison. On paper, it does seem like a step backwards. However, to Suzuki's credit, they continue to support (in my opinion) a very important automotive segment (small cars) while many manufacturers are going "green" by producing oversized, overpriced, and short-ranged vehicles. For existing owners of the previous Swift, I'd suggest holding onto their current car unless they need an upgrade and want to stay within the Swift platform. Again, appreciate your time commenting! All the best
