Honestly I believe it deserved it. This movie could've been fine if Sony didn't try to screw it all up.

It didn't just get bad critics, it got bad reviews, bad editing, voiceovers, script, plot, motivation, villain, hero, characters, bad everything. If you watch it as a so good it's bad type movie it's enjoyably hilarious but if you watch it as someone who wants an downright serious superhero film, you're in for depression and disappointment.
