Remember when test gameplays leaked from cyberpunk and it started huge shitstorm... that's why devs are not eager to show stuff, it's used against them and also might show things that will be cut, and last thing you need is bunch of idiots harassing you for cut features w/o any knowledge about the topic. Btw I like this video and I think game dev should show more "making of" with actual test footage not just someone sitting in front of PC pretending to do something for camera.

I stopped skating back in 2015 due to injuries and life in general, but I will never forget the feeling I had skateboarding. This brings it all back... the Skate series was my favorite growing up. Skate is the entire reason why I begged my parents for an Xbox 360 (I was like 10). They got it, I fell in love with it. Each new game was better than the one before. Skate 3 being a near perfect skateboard game imo. I don't care if Skate . takes a couple more years. I fear they try to do too much and make all these ancillary features that take away from the true purpose of the game. I'll take a map that is 2 times the size of the previous before running on walls & doing parkour. No matter what happens I will buy the game and always have the highest praise for the EA Skate franchise. Keep working hard!

Rockstar definitely wouldn't benefit from showing pre alpha gameplay of highly anticipated games tbh, the sentiment around skate is a little different because we've been waiting so long for a new one and the community is heavily involved, Rockstar makes giant blockbuster games and showcasing and giving stuff away 3 years before release just doesn't sound like a solid business move, more verbal communication is good though, which they surprisingly did when they announced development on GTA6 officially, normally they don't say a damn thing, and they probably wont from here on out lol.

We've known you could climb and flip but you'll also be able to leap from hanging and wallrun and probably more. Parkour will be its own game. I can see myself going off board and just running through rooftops. I loved doing stuff like that in GTA SA and IV but this will be the first game with well done parkour.

This trailer actually made me start crying tears of joy! It feels like someone is actually listening to me as soon as I heard “san vansterdam” I got crazy goose bumps especially seeing the Community center in the play test omg I hope this is just a massive skate2 expansion like hint and throwbacks but also new environments. I think they learned their lesson, other EA studios are also doing the same thing, EA Motive (Dead Space Remake) has also shared development diaries which is great. I hope that the studios have the time they need to develop a game, and not be pressured by EA, in the end that's the most important thing.

Take all the time you need... so many recent game released waay too early and were filled with so many bugs. I've always wanted to play a skate game but never had a console to play it. If this is going to be on pc im so totally going to buy it the first sign its available. Very excited to see this franchise again :)

even though it’s SUPER early in development, this game looks insane! both of the walking and skating animations are so smooth and realistic and the graphics on what the final product should look like looks amazing and detailed to the smallest touch. Skate 3 was my game when I was 10 years old and that 10 year old little boy in me came back as i watched this. keep taking as much time as you need, skate.
