Thanks for the video I really enjoyed it. I've been researching getting an anteresia but couldn't decide between a stimsons and a spotted. Now I'm really leaning hard towards the Stimson.

TC, you spend so much time producing quality content. It really seems like live stuff is getting popular these days...I think it would be PRETTY FUN to have a blue tongue skink recipe chat and batch cook session and maybe even watch some live skink feeding ;) Sounds like some quality content there!!!

I love the location differences in simply the wild type stympsons. I mean people spend years with other species trying to get differences like that, and here in Australia half the work is already done for you.

Yeah. Definitely. I only have the funds to buy one reptile at the moment to start my collection. Im going with a bluey but lord knows I have snake envy. I will get a stympsons one day, maybe I'll save up enough for a fancy morph.

I’m glad you found this footage. I have a regular wild type children’s python. He was very nippy when I first got him but has calmed down very well now. He’s about six months old. I haven’t named him yet. Maybe I’ll call him Aussie.

ReptileMountain.TV Yeah, I heard they could be nippy and it was almost funny how many times he bit me :-) but he calmed down quickly and now he doesn’t bite at all. It’s not like a bite from itsy-bitsy snake hurts anyway. Once he figures out he couldn’t eat me he stopped trying.

Breeders in the US recommend warm-side/cool-side temperatures for Spotted Pythons at 88/80 F, respectively. NSW summer temps., according to my phone temp app, are as low as mid-50’s night, and often just high 70’s day - much lower. What temps do you recommend?
@ReptileMountainTV
@ReptileMountainTV 2 жыл бұрын
90-95F basking and 70-79F cool end… night drops are also okay into the 60s easy. NSW wild sun heated temps can get into the 120s easy. They will bask in the 90-100 range.

Do you think there are Antaresia morphs outside of Australia that no one talks about yet and some day, suddenly, someone claims he bred the morph somehow at his place? I would love to get platinums and marbles into the world.

Hey TC! I have had my Halmahera bluey, Bean, for about a week now. Bean is two months old. I noticed a few really small white bugs crawling on Bean and I am concerned. I am using repti bark and sphagnum moss as substrate. If they are wood mites, how would you suggest I get rid of them and do I need to take Bean to the vet? Thanks in advance if you already covered this issue in a previous video I haven’t found yet.

Not really, but they are very adept at climbing rocky landscapes and wedging in rock crevices. They can climb into shrubs and some trees but do not specifically seek trees as much as many carpet pythons species do.
