I miss the days when interviewers were this kind and respectful. Haven't heard it for a long, long time.

I went to HS with Kenny. He was the nicest person. Friendly and smiling, and reserved. He had a limp from childhood polio. There were two bands our age who played at various dances....Kenny was in the band that had music department kids in it. I was in the band that was more self-taught, although I had a little training. Our band did a little of everything...The Stones, Crosby, Stills, and Nash, the Allman Brothers, Taj Mahal, and various other rock and roots bands. Kenny's band had a horn section, and did a lot of Blood Sweat and Tears, and Chicago. I played flute and organ in our band, and sang a song or two. Kenny, ironically, did not play keyboards! A talented young guy named Skipper Brevis did. Kenny played alto sax. Kenny was probably the fourth best keyboard player in the department! He only got into jazz as an adult! I couldn't believe it when i heard he was playing with Sting in his 20s. of course he went on to play with Wynton Marsalis in the Tonight Show Band. I heard he was injured in a bad car accident at 19 or so, and lived in a lot of pain....he got addicted to pain drugs, and was found dead in his apartment at 43, i think. But his recordings are considered some of the best of his time for jazz piano.....One of those guys I wanted to see again, if there was a reunion.....Maybe in the next life....another guy our age in that Brooklyn School was Mike Dunleavy, former NBA player, coach, and still general manager of the Milwaukee Bucks, and father of NBA star Mike Dunleavy Jr. Who woulda thought?

Such a nice and intelligent interviewer. I wish Sting had been a bit warmer when leaving.

The cats looked like they did NOT want to be there. Sting and Kenny looked as if they were sent to the Principal's Office. But the interviewer did a good job considering and was very sweet. And Sting was being is his usual *controlled* asshole self.

Obviously a cheap session...almost looks like Public Access. I think she did that because they only had one camera. Usually, you have two or three cameras for that kind of interview. You start with an establishing shot, then cut to a closeup of each individual. I'm guessing they only had one or two cameras, and for some reason the same camera had to take the establishing shot and do the Sting closeup. It helped promote the film and the show...that was the main thing....

It's funny when they call an adult man "Sting", as if that's perfectly normal......Maybe he should have called himself, "Johnny Sting"...LOL
