My friend in the UK is a well known collector of vintage Fender basses. He actually went down to London to check out this bass in a music store in Denmark Street. In the end he decided not to buy it but apparently the next guy through the door was Sting, who did buy it!

My Dad also is 70, and he is currently wearing flannel pajama pants, and a red Santa cap to cover his cold bald head, and old-man slippers on his cold feet. He is the same age as Sting, and I still remember forcing him to take me to a Sting concert in the mid-90's when I was a teenager, and while he liked Sting well enough, he couldn't get over how much he liked the opening band, which was Lyle Lovett, lol. That's not a knock again Lyle Lovett, because he was/is awesome, but it just makes me laugh because my Dad remembers the damn opening band more than STING's entire concert.
