My head canon is that Maeglin king Turgon’s nephew made the 3 swords (probably originally part of a bigger collection) that ended up in the troll hoard. He and his dad had learned some skills from the dwarves after all. Also regardless if he made them or not Sting was his, the perfect weapon for a back stabbing sneaky guy like him. My favorite color is green. Next episode prediction: you’re going to go all Richard Dreyfuss on us and build a model of Caradhras in your living room

Oh that's cool, I hadn't even heard that name beforehand. I woulda guessed blue haha. And yeah, if I had the space, my house would be full of "big-atures".

Another entertaining video. One note, the wooden handle isn't round. It is much more of an oval shape and a suggestion of aluminum tape for the vine detail as it may have been easier than masking off and trying to paint.

Thank you, and thanks for the suggestion - that would have been wayyy easier haha. I did notice that the handle is indeed oval, but unfortunately, I didn't realize this until much too late in the production process. If I ever try my hand at making another Sting, I'll definitely utilize these helpful suggestions. Thanks again!

You got me on this one JJ! I thought this episode was gonna have that driver from Top Gear,,,Ya Trickster! So out of embarrassment I drank myself stupid on a cocktail with copious amounts of chocolaty Qvaltine, Nestle Strawberry Quik and whole milk, not that vanilla almond milk hoo-haw.... So worth it! Anyways that's one sweet lookin stick ya made there. I also appreciate all the new wood twerkin tools you keep adding to the arsenal. I just may have to check this movie out,,,,,, some day!?

Hahahaha, wow, such a lush. And thanks. And yeah, I am quickly running out of room for anymore tools, for certain. You definitely should check them out......someday

I just realized it’s like in Prince Caspian when they don’t think Aslan is coming back so they try to resurrect the white witch You couldn’t harness the skill of the elves so you opted for the power of a dragon

At least in the movies the light goes out as the orc (Gorbag) dies in Cirith Ungol. So it must be sensing the soul.

Ahh, that makes sense. I forgot about that.

First off, Legolas voice over was spot-on. Gave me a good laugh. The narration of the story-arc of the sword was excellent and that looks like Sting. Beautiful work Josh! also nice use of the action figures.

Hah, thank you, thank you, and thank you. That bit with the action figures was supposed to be wayyy shorter, then evolved into something wayyyyy longer, so I had to settle with what I put haha.

I'm on holiday from school and I have made Anduril out of wood quite a while back, I am yet to finish it. Great work with your builds btw!

Oh that's awesome. I definitely have that on the list to make when I get to that point in the films. And thank you, I appreciate it!

Given the vector file is 2-dimensional, how did you account for the other ~half of the wrap that would go around the handle? I'm preparing to laser etch this, and I only have the projected front side?

I'm also noticing your stencil is different than mine - where did you acquire your stencil/template?
