A masterpiece, absolutely one of Sting's best songs.

totally mind blowing!!!! this song takes me back & also makes me feel everything he felt about his dad. i never had my dad around so i can only go wherever sting takes me on this on but all his music & lyrics take me away, some more than others.

i never new my dad either & likewise, i can relate. but 2 put that into words & make music with that pain & confusion is an awesome but amazing talent that Sting is so good at. He is a blessing to me & to the world

i wonder if he knew Mr. Grey?

Colaiuta is an amazing drummer but his drumming is way too straight ahead here in comparison to Manu Katche's on the album and it affects the mood of the song badly.

Far from the grey gulls is not a good place to be. clay in the sky is questionable. white sails overrated , when it comes to lifes' lil seas. white horses don't exist on the earth and basically everything has a quiet and a howl. i see this song as a man's discovery of life. not his father.
