Thanks for the video! Do you have any experience with the Heigh10? I know the Horizon has improved resolution, weather resistance and wireless CP/AA. I’m wondering if they improved the processor? Have you tried any Topo apps? Hoping it’s a smooth UI with a responsive pinch/zoom and scrolling. Some older units could be pretty clunky. Better off with an iPad mini or something.

I sure did, I had the Heigh 10 in my old JL. I am still playing wit it but so far it has been very smooth and I need to dive deeper into the UI. So far, my only complaint is the delay in the carplay, when i go to the next song, takes a second to respond, it is not instant. Everything else has been great but I will make a video that dives deeper when I can for sure!

@@JeffHallPhotography Have you used any trail map apps like Onx Off-road or Gaia GPS on the Heigh10 or Horizon? Wondering how well they work on the Stinger. Thx!

From the video Apple car play looks laggy is that how is it like?
@WOATjohn2 ай бұрын
@@lazaroambrosio5646I am guessing that’s the wireless aspect of it. I’ve read a lot of wireless CarPlay’s have that. I wonder if connecting it by wire would make an improvement
@MORTY_LV2 ай бұрын
@@WOATjohn It definitely does work better wired. I have the Heigh10 and it works way better wired. I bought the wireless dongle and it does the job, but sometimes it cuts out. Not that often though. I still keep it wireless, but if I want smooth transitions and no lagging, I'll connected it through cable.

Have you tried the maps offroad while off the cell phone towers yet? My jeeps natural built in maps systems knows exactly where Im at even when off cell phone tower reception, no matter where I am. While google maps wont work in the same situation. If this system only uses googles maps, I don't want it. I use my jeep in the mountains and need a good off grid system. Google maps is great though in the city.

I have not tried it yet, I am going to this weekend so I will get back to you once I do

google maps has a download feature. You select the area you want to save for offline use and it will store it locally.

It does have integrated GPS but you have to buy the SD card with the maps separately
