I can not understate how excruciatingly painful a sting from a Sting ray is. That burning and cramping that runs up your limb and waves of intense agonizing pain. I got stabbed in the foot, and for 2 hours every muscle in my body was clinched tight because of the pain. No matter how I held my foot, the pain would get more intense. Luckily, I found out hot water helps the pain instantly. Remember that

I got stung by a little round ray about the same size maybe a little smaller. I was trying to yank out the hook with pliers and he got me right in the thumb, I was on a kayak at the mouth of a harbor and the tide was outgoing pretty fast. My friend that was on the same kayak already could barely paddle and seeing me freak out as I literally felt the venom work it’s way up my arm towards my heart cramping up my muscles, it just made him even more useless. As we were getting sucked out we found a boat that towed us back to the harbor. Fun memory but never wanna experience it again 😂

The stingray was massive (about 2.5 metres or 8 feet long) so the barb on it would've been able to go all the way through and stick out the other side. How it hit his heart though? The stingray probably was able to build up a lot of force and push his ribs out of the way. Idk, just my hypothesis
