My Dollar Tree does not have a refridgerated/freezer area. Anyway, while visiting a friend who had a freezer/refridgerated section at her Dollar Tree we did a Pizza Night Special using all Dollar Tree products. For less then 50$ we fed 12 adults and 4 children and no one guessed our secret! We picked up the ribeye steaks, sausage crumbles and chicken breast. We also grabbed a 3 pepper mix, monterey jack, cheddar, pepper jack cheeses, frozen spinach. We also picked up pizza sauce, alfredo, banana pepper rings, red pepper flakes, minced garlic, blue cheese dressing, black and green olives., canned mushrooms, italian seasonings, red pepper flakes, bacon bits, pizza crusts, pepperoni, buffalo wing sauce. 1 We made a philly steak pizza with the "cheeze whiz" as the sauce, the cooked ribeye and pepper mix topped with some shredded pepper jack. 2 A couple of Buffalo chicken pizzas. We used a base of blue cheese dressing, the chicken diced celery (we did cheat using the celery) onions from the pepper mix, monteray jack and a heavy drizzle of wing sauce. 3 Veggie lovers with pizza sauce, pepper mix, spinach, garlic, bananna pepper rings, olives and mushrooms and cheddar. 4 Sausage, pepper and mushrooms with pizza sauce. 5 Spinach, chicken, bacon and alfredo. 6 Pepperoni with pizza sauce. 7 We even made a supreme with sausage, pepperoni, pepper mix, olives mushrooms, banana pepper rings, pizza sauce and all the cheeses. 8 A diced Spam and pineapple pizza with a BBQ sauce and monterey jack.

i admire the innovated ways you use DOLLAR TREE ingredients to make tasteful meals for your loved ones...this is encouraging for young families fighting with small incomes or families of elderlies on modest budgets to eat well...we have no DOLLAR TREE stores in brooklyn ny sorry to say...we have DEALS their sister store but things are 5.00 and up...hardly the same thing
@washington-ou3sd7 жыл бұрын
You're not missing out. A lot of dollar store food is straight up bad; most importantly, bad for you. If you budget well and use coupons, with around the same effort you can make meals all week for your family with fresh, good food from the grocery store. Dollar Tree food adds up, anyway. You're not saving much.
@StellaGorospe-Miller247 жыл бұрын
washington1884 I don't agree completely. There are different things you can get at Dollar Tree that are a good deal. Their cold sodas cost 86 cents more at Wal-Mart, their Ketchup (Hunt's which I prefer over Heinz) costs 26 cents less, their Michelina dinners cost $2.50-$3.00 anywhere else over here. I'm using mainly Wal-Mart as a comparison because stores like Super Dollar and Dollar General jack up the prices on some things. And I can't remember how much or which ones, but there are certain spices that cost less overall than Sam's club bulk spices (adding up to get the same amount of course). Like with any store that sells food items, you just have to peck and choose and figure out which deals are better for you and which "deals" are actually deals.

The fact you shop Walmart says all; using coupons & Mark downs I do better @ my local grocery store. I would NOT trust $ tree food for anything Stella Nicholette Davis

You've inspired me! I've watched several of your videos over the last couple of days. I'm going to my DT tonight to plan and purchase some meals. I'm a single mom on disability. My kids just turned 18 so my income dropped drastically. I'm now getting about a third of what I was receiving. My kids have to pay me rent so we can keep our apartment. They are going to college (free! Due to my low income) but I take as little as I can from them as they are trying to get their lives started. My food budget is the last area I can chop from. I'm encouraged now that we can eat tasty meals. Thank you so much :)

Roxana Panaro I agree because some people don't know to do some of this with the food. so they should have a picture of her in.the store with her utube channel and they would sell all the food out in the store every day
@Michelle-pn9xt6 жыл бұрын
I buy food at the regular store and at DollarTree. I prepare meals with all of the food that I buy. If you put her picture up in the store they would have to do that for every other person on KZbin making the same type of video. They would have to do that for every person who shops there and prepares meals using their food. Cooking is not that hard. All you have to do is practice.

My boyfriend and I cooked this tonight! It was great and soooo much food for just two people, we'll have leftovers for two days! We got all the same ingredients as you did, except the shredded cheese. Our Dollar Tree has Frigo cheese so we bought the mozzarella instead. It turned out very good! I was shocked to find the riblets at my store, I would like to try the chicken patties cut up next time. We didn't have a glass dish like you do so we picked up a foil lasagna pan from the Dollar Tree and it worked out perfect! Thanks for another great recipe!
@naomiemoore57255 жыл бұрын
Start shopping yard sales, garage sales, second hand shops, thrift stores. You can pick up 13 x 9 or 8 x 8 or 9 x9 Pyrex or Anchor Hocking glass baking dishes for a song. Hen you don't have to spend a buck every time you need a casserole dish. I live in CA where everything is expensive, yet you can find great stuff if you keep your eyes open. Just google to find the garage sales near you. Most you just type in your zip code. I have several sites I visit every Friday to find the garage sales in my area.

Hi Jan, Today I tried your lasagna recipe for lunch. I substituted the cheese for pizza with the Silver State Brand White Cheddar Cheese With Black Pepper, also found at Dollar Tree. My Dollar Tree did not carry the pasta sauce in a glass jar, so I got another can of the Garlic & Herb Pasta Sauce. I also indulged and bought cottage cheese at the grocery store. It turned out so good. My family was very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Thanks Jan, I will certainly try another one of your Dollar Tree Meals.
