I make this too!! I use taco meat (ground beef taco meat) and sometimes we even use refried beans. Its DELICIOUS! We top with sour cream, black olives, fire roasted green chilies and salsa! It's YUM YUM!

A woman that cooks like I do...life of this, little of that and some of this because I didn't have the other. I have implemented and improvised all my life. Everyone loves my cooking but sometimes it is tough to translate into spoons and cups. Like you, I should wear an apron because I tend to splash and slop some when I am cooking. My grandson loves anything taco or Doritos so this is a hit. Thank you for your soft gentle real nature. Hi Jan, I hope this finds you well. Just finished watching your doritos cheese casserole. So yummy. Our neighborhood has been helping flood victims from hurricane Florence with items they need or weekly picnics for the victims. I have done a number of different flavors but yesterday I thought I'd check in on your channel. Well this lovely casserole will be my next to go. I love all your new pioneer woman kitchen items. After watching you I got on the band wagon and bought some for me. Not that I needed another dish ..I also make gift baskets and have been using her items for the basket. I know you like spices. I do too. I made up a spice blend to our liking kind of like a creole but not as hot. I use it alot to season potatoes and onions, chicken, pork etc. Have you thought of making up one of your own. It would be fun to see you come up with a JAN SPICE. I'll keep watching and love your show and what you have done with your kitchen. Looks great. You are a hard worker. Hugs Loretta

There’s a lot of different flavors going on for sure. I think I would use hamburger and cheddar cheese soup to keep the taco/Tex mex theme. Then I would top with tomato, lettuce & more sour cream!! Thanks Jan

Very similar to a casserole my family makes. It’s our favorite too!❤️ We use ground meat and instead of corn I add refrigerator beans or pinto beans. Sooo easy and delicious! I love the crunchy Doritos on top!❤️
