Hey. I just used your amazon link. I don't know how to tell if it worked. Hopefully it did. Not a big purchase (around $130). Hopefully it worked.

Thanks brother! I only make like $150 a month from Amazon, but it helps justify some of the parts or tools I buy to do some of the videos. I appreciate you man!

I'm beginning to think the latest content is just an opportunity for you to flex those guns of yours. LOL. Glad to see the progress around the house. Man that's a LOT of work. "My dog stepped on a bee". Dude I almost lost it! LOL I continue to watch your channel not because of your content, bro, YOU are the content. Keep up the great work and progress on your new home.

Holy Crap, Batman! :) Seriously, that's a pretty long run. Not sure if I would have tried that myself, but if you can't find a good spot that passes the perk test, you do what you gotta do. Look forward to rest of the vids.. Beard looking epic, man.👍
@LifeofBliss

Yea the perk tests failed. This septic was a temporary system we found out after looking at the original paperwork. 20 years is still "temporary" right? 😉 it worked great until it didn't. But yea, the city ran a sewer line through our field 15 years ago and had a deal with my parents about paying part of the install. Worked out well. Still dealing with getting the pump set right, I'll go over that a bit in the coming video(s). Thanks brother, its comin along!

@@LifeofBliss Ya, pump's gonna be the critical point. Still better than requiring a pump AND a mound system with another pump for the septic like we had to deal with in Wisconsin. Down here in Indiana, its all sandy soil so just a distribution box and some drain legs are all that's required. And at about half the size of field we had up there. Been ~20yrs as well.. knock on wood.
@LifeofBliss

Man we were hoping to do something like that, distro box and some legs. Our soil was literally a few percent off was all, but probably why it was originally only supposed to be temporary anyways. We didn't really want to connect to city and use a pump, but it was the cheapest option. There was a matrix system we got a quote on that was nearly $50k lol. We're about $15k in on this after the city paid their part. Much cheaper option, although I really hate relying on electricity to pump it out... Here's to another 20 years of trouble free sewage to both of us! 😉🍻

@@LifeofBliss Ya, screw that :) My system was something like $25k in Wisconsin, and my buddy had one put in in the late 90's for just over $40k. When property taxes went up, I moved here .. Haha. Cheers 🍻

5:45 I see what you did there...... Was wondering if just building an anaerobic septic system would have been easier.
@LifeofBliss
@LifeofBliss 2 жыл бұрын
😅 you know, gotta make the jokes... Not sure about that type of system, wasn't even brought up as an option. There was some sort of matrix system they quoted us on that was way more expensive than this, like close to 50k. This was much cheaper...

Just curious how long it took to get permits to do all of this? Seems like it is a long run down to get to the city sewer
@LifeofBliss
@LifeofBliss 2 жыл бұрын
It's been an 8 month or longer process. City was dragging their feet on a lot of stuff, particularly the part where they are paying for half of the project due to the easement for running the sewer through our field 😒 but once everyone was on the same page and they paid up, it went pretty quick. It's about 700+ ft of line after all said and done to the main drain. Not a small project lol
