Hey, ive watched a view of your videos now and im really enjoing your music. I want to start live looping too but i am struggling with creating a good melody on the piano. Do you have any tips for me?

Thank you ☺️ I think one of the best ways is to learn the melodies of songs you like, looking for call and response patterns (there is usually one part of the melody that is like "a question" and another is "an answer"}. Also, the melody is closely related to the song's harmony (the chords), so it's good to focus on harmony and how it works with the melody. Learning songs in this "technical way" is good to give you some foundations on "the workings" of melody and harmony, but also give yourself the time to just mess around 😀 You can, for example, loop some basic chord progressions, then play some melody that you already know that sounds nice, and experiment by changing the melody here and there (replacing notes, changing note lengths, adding some swing to it, reverse order of notes, etc.) I'd say that in this experimental mode, it's more important to just allow yourself to do whatever you want and just observe the feelings. Sometimes there are things in music, that are technically "wrong", but feel great 😀 Also, start with the simpler things and then build up on those 😉
