I always liked the analog divers style watch. I have a 15 year old seiko divers 200 automatic with NATO strap. Still going strong.

I own a 1984 quartz Seiko Dive watch. I bought it while I was in the New Zealand Army 40 years ago. It still works. I now wear it on grandpa adventures with our grandchildren.

Tried many watches over the years in my Military career none matched the Tracer ie (Luminox) code green ,perfect weight ,toughness and luminosity with Swiss internals.Infact I still wear it to work now as a Bodyguard..also perfect for that role .

I absolutely love Stirling. I own the Gibson (swiss movement) and the black Durrant. They will only grow in popularity imo. The Durrant, I believe pulls a lot from the Omega Seamaster professional which I love as I'll never own one of them. As with the founder, I too am in the British military and my two Stirling's go everywhere I go around the world. They hold up beautifully and can't be faulted.

This watch does not use a Swiss Movement, it uses a Seiko nh35 that cost about $50 which in my opinion is unacceptable for an over $500 watch.

I think I'm going to get the Upham black Quartz the whole bezel lights up on this one and I like to wear my watch with the bezel underside of my wrist so what I'm using a rifle I can just look to the left and see what time it is

I always enjoy your reviews but, I gotta be honest I don’t think this watch will ever be a collectors piece or increase in value. The watch looks nice but, this is an extremely basic movement from an unknown company in a hobby where brand recognition is everything for the collector. I also think trying to tie it back to being a military/tactical watch is marketing jargon (by them)…I don’t know of anybody who rocks this brand in the tactical circles and the lack of using a stronger lume so your not able to be seen by the enemy is funny (and not true but an excuse for using a cheap subpar lume). That’s a cool story bro- there’s tons of guys I see and have been seeing rocking these in Mil and law enforcement. May not ever be a collector item- but Stirling is definitely on its way to becoming the UK version of Sangin. The comment about the lume is off as well. They don’t use cheap lume. They use Swiss super luminova. And each watch is lumed differently.

@@The-Warrior-Optimist not sure what story I told 🤷🏽‍♂️ and you might be right about them in the UK…I’m not in the UK. I’ll agree Sangin is a great bomb proof watch and I speak out of personal experience from being in the tactical and LEO space and I personally am not seeing “a ton” of people with Stirling watches…I wish them well as a company and not only am I an end user of purpose built watches for my day to day job but, I’m also an avid watch collector who has high end watches from Rolex, Omega, Oris, etc down to the Uber durable Casio and multiple brands in between so, I clearly understand how lume works and the differences in the grades of lume. I also, clearly understand the importance of being able to see my watch when I’m out on a detail or involved in certain situations. Stay safe and be BLESSED bro!!!

I reached out to them and they said that it has a weak lume because they used less powder because the watch wouldn’t have the blacked out look during the day. They said to address the dim lume, they were going to release a white version that has a much stronger lume which they have done. So it wasn’t to make yourself less visible to the enemy, it was to keep the blacked out look.

This company is uk military owned (currently active duty) may not be renowned within the high velocity watch community, but in the LE and military community it is widely known. I am going to be active duty here shortly and this is what I will be rocking. Most durable watch ever to be run over by a tank
