I really really think that Stitch changed, because in the series he helped most of his cousins aka experiments 1-625 become good without using the term ohana on them, and the episode that introduced Angel aka experiment 623 aka Stitch’s girlfriend after she turned all of Stitch’s cousins and Jumba back to evil Stitch managed to show her the error of her ways and she sang the song 🎵 in reverse and turned everyone back to good

Don't you think if he was evil he wouldn't allow the humans to live and or live free 🤔?

I think there’s counter-evidence that debunks your theory. There’s a short on the Lilo & Stitch 2 DVD titled ‘The Origin Of Stitch’. In it, he’s playing soccer until he kicks his soccer ball into a spaceship where he accidentally discovers how he was created. When Jumba walks in, Stitch expresses sadness upon learning that he was created to be a monster. So in conclusion, I like to think that Stitch’s turn to good is genuine and not an adaptation to the environment he’s in.

Doesn't mean he's not Good tho, he just can now channel it into being _Chaotic_ Good >:-3

Okay, this is interesting that I have to see. Update I’ve been thinking about this for four days and I’ve even watched the second film for analysis and I discovered something. Maybe he was glitching all along way back, even in the first film and him becoming almost good was permanent after he was restored.

I'm on the fence with this If you watch the sequel "Stitch has a glitch", His programing goes haywire and he has sporadic "Monster" bouts causing a rift between and Lilo However later he tries to apologize to Lilo but starts losing control. As Lilo approaches out of concern he warns her to stay away from him as it may be dangerous but completely loses control and scratches her face. Horrified at what he does he tries to run away and find a planet uninhabited so he won't hurt anyone Later he loses control in the ship he's flying causing it to crash and dies due to getting discharged or something like that in he's dying moments Lilo finds him and he apologizes to her before he dies However Lilo's love for him charges him up again and he revives Sorry for the essay but point being I think they were 2 sides to him that were in conflict but he managed to over come his monster side

in another sequel Leroy and Stich, Stich is no long a fugitive by the Galactic council and actually gets rewarded for his service in finding the other experiments by being made a captain. This means however that he wont be able to stay with Lilo any more However in the end he decides to give it all up and return to Lilo which shows he did come to love Nani and Lilo as family

This is quite sadistic. I'm sorry. Stitch is very self-aware of being good, and it was choice not based on genetics or destructive programming. If he chooses to have a conscience, then that's HIS decision. If he wanted to learn about being part of a family, THAT WAS A MORAL CHOICE. It doesn't matter what your intentions or instincts are, you still have the will to choose being good. In the original script, stitch was meant to betray Lilo as using her as a cover. Until it was changed where he began to understand why he wanted to be with Lilo. Because she was Ohana, he found a greater purpose? It was family

In all honesty no one is perfect. Yes stitch has his destructive side but everyone does. Just because someone has their destructive side doesn’t mean they are evil. If that was the case then everyone is evil including lilo and her sister

And most certainly Mertle Edmonds for being a mean girl. Anyone who defends Mertle is clearly a white supremacist bully who doesn’t know what good characters/people are!

In truth, no one is good or evil, everyone is neutral by birth but capable of the worst evils and greatest goods and will have both constructive and destructive impulses. Good and evil are silly and unnuanced terms that we use to simplify the world. Ultimately no one chooses how they are, they are instead shaped by genes, their social environment, their material environment, their development, etc... and therefore no one has actually free will. We cannot blame someone for their faults and shortcomings because they did not choose their virtues or vices, they simply are what they are and do what they do. The best we can hope for is to correct harmful behaviors and make things better for everyone.

Stitch did become good because he does become much kinder towards people and doesn't break things on purpose to make him happy. He learnt that destruction isn't the way and that it lead to hurting people he grew to care about. Not to mention in the sequals and series he wants the other experiments to turn good. He does have a short temper like he always does as well as breaking things by accident but any of those can apply to anyone in real life that are still good beings undernith it all. It also goes to show that stitch isn't a mary sue due to his strengths. He is loving, protective and kind towards those he cares about while being cocky/short tempered. Plus his reasons for getting angry make sense and seem justified.

Why would Stitch leave Nani and Lilo out of guilt for splitting them up if he wasn’t becoming good? Also, why did Stitch have the reaction he did to Lilo’s story about her parents? Why was Stitch willing to go with the galactic council even though he knew they wanted to destroy him? I’m sorry, but this theory doesn’t hold water for me.

Then why did they make a second movie about how he was slowly dieing because of his programming malfunctioning, he was being nice and good for to long of a period of time and almost killed him
@theboy6888 Жыл бұрын
He did take advantage of them at first, but I think he changed later on to try to be good. At the end of the day he was designed to destroy things and still does but in a smaller scale

what if Stitch heard Ohana before though he could have some connection with the parents I mean the CPA/FBI agent knows something to

I think, as soon as the charges were lifted on Jumba and Pleakley, Jumba will always be the mad scientist that he's always been. Therefore maybe Jumba knows that Stitch is still evil but because he wants his creation to flourish, wouldn't Jumba be more likely not to say anything and just let Stitch be Stitch in all of his evil Glory and just kind of play along including calling Stitch a he?

Altruism itself evolved because it helps the group survive even at the expense of the individual and because the genes and social behavior that encourage altruism are shared amongst the whole group so as long as the group survives those traits are selected for. The same applies to compassion, empathy, cooperation, generosity, sharing, mercy, and morality as a whole. However, who cares why these traits emerged and if they emerged due to selfish survival advantages (which is the only way something can emerge without being quickly being destroyed), the fact of the matter is morality, altruism, and all the other "good" traits have emerged and exist now. Stitch was fearful of their life and learned that family was something that protected his life. Despite Stitch's adversarial role to others in general, they would not leave him behind or forget him (Ohana means family, and family means that no one gets left behind or forgotten, no matter what). That meant something to Stitch (probably because Stitch had nothing else), that was valuable to Stitch, that taught Stitch to want family. Stitch at first likely has a twisted sense of empathy (a useful tool for understanding others which can aid in survival), but lacks any compassion to go with it, but now their survival instinct is deepening that empathy and compassion. Stitch cares for their family, and now we have reached the point where that concern outweighs their survival instinct - Stitch left Lilo, but came back, only for the destruction of Lilo's home to prompt Lilo to tell Stitch to leave which hurt Stitch, then Lilo is kidnapped and Stitch could just escape and maybe find a new family if all Stitch wanted was safety, but Stitch valued Lilo over their own best interest. In the next movie, Stitch literally feels lonely because they lack others like themself and wants more Ohana, and despite wanting to rescue their creator, refused to leave their cousins behind because no one gets left behind or forgotten. Stitch learned the meaning of ohana. Stitch then worked to find a place for all their cousins where they can be themselves with all their evil instincts but put toward productive and non-harmful uses and can be a big ohana, or family. Good and evil are flawed, unnuanced terms, in our grey world, but Stitch definitely moved in the direction of morality, and who cares if what prompted that change initially was selfish, it is not selfish anymore.

I think this theory has a very glaring hole that needs to be addressed. Do you consider Stitch more like a biological sentient being i.e. test tube babies or complete artificial being i.e. AI. Problem in this theory is, Stitch is assume to be more like an AI. But even so, Star Trek Next Generation's Data can be a good comparison that AI can become human like so why can't Stitch?

First of all can you not call Stitch an “it” how would you like it someone called you an “it”. Animated movie or not. Also Stitch did change and he genuinely loves his family. And COFFEE.
