Very nice. I love that you do three different colors. Especially in the white. Yes it does make it elegant.

Those samples! The solid color yarn really did give such a neat texture and it really did play up the ombre in the self stripping yarn 😍.

For this stitch pattern I would probably do a very simple plain double crochet border around it so the stitch pattern stands out, if you do a fancy border it will take away from the stitch pattern. Just my opinion, it is your preference. Have fun crocheting.

I love the way you teach ! Very thorough, easy to understand! I am wondering tho, can this same method be done, but with the blocks being a little wider ? Like quilting blocks? I have tried entralac with the squares, I like that look, but this method would be easier for me. If it's possible, what would the multiples be for the initial chain? Thanks !!

I loved learning this stitch! I like how each of the swatches you showed turned out but I have to say the one using the Red Heart Fruity Stripes just pops out to me for the way all those colors blend so finely together. It's almost as if this stitch was made just for it. :) I bet it will look equally as great with any self striping yarn. I know what some of my future projects are going to be! I found myself, in my mind, referring to this as the "Tooth Stitch" as, especially with the bright white yarn, looked like little teeth popping up! :D

I love that stitch, especially in the classic white! I do need to ask you about the self striping, are you only able to stitch so far before it changes to a new color? How do you know how far you can go? If you've already covered a question about this, could you direct me? 😊 Thank you!
@CreativeGrandma7 жыл бұрын
When using a self striping yarn you need to play around with it for the first cuple of rows, it all depends on the width of what you are making which determines when the color changes, the self striping yarn is nicer for a wider project like an afghan. What I usually do is try to work the first row and see if I can make my project wide enough so it changes colors every row or every 2 rows. I know that is not much help, but the stitch pattern can determine the color change depending on how much yarn is used per row.
@suestevens73567 жыл бұрын
Ok well I will have to try some. I've just never really understood how to use it! Thank you! 😊
