Love watching your progress on LOF. She’s beautiful! I think the 1 over 1 skin looks so nice! 💕Michele

I love this pattern. I have never done a Mirabillia pattern. I’ve looked everywhere for it ,but it is out of print. I’m also new to such large, complex and high thread count material. My old eyes are not liking them but I love them. Keep working on it so I can vicariously enjoy the Lady of the Flag!

Hi Gerald! Love your videos. FYI with the Q-Snap I found that over time the pieces which snap on tend to stretch out and become loose. To rectify, I put them in the dishwasher and they spring right back. Happy Stitching 😀

Great video! Because of your recommendation and other floss tubers I watch, I just bought a Lowery stand. Amazon doesn't have it any longer (shows out of stock). I bought it directly from Lowery's web site. It came VERY fast! Ordered 1/10 and received 1/16. I'm in Indiana and they are in Great Britain! I was also able to use Paypal for payment. The whole process was fantastic. Can't wait for my weekend (Wed & Thurs) so I can actually try it out!

Just binge watched all your videos! I'd seen the first few when you started. Henry, By the Bay and snowy owl were my faves

I enjoyed this video. I don't like tent stitch over one either first of all because I agree that it's kinda cheating but, most of all, because I don't think it looks good. Thanks for the video. These, WIP parades, and stash acquisitions are my favorite kind.

Before you put it up!!!!! On the edge of the fabric - the margin-. Get the Flesh Floss out. With the pattern- stitch the favorite part of the face. Do one stitch over One. What do think? By the side of your One Stitch, do the two stitch, full cross. Which do you like on this fabric.

I love the Stitch w/ Me videos. I don’t get many stitches done because I too intent on watching you make your stitches. Such tiny stitches, and perfection in each stitch. So fun for me to watch. It is amazing. I rather watch stitching than hear a ton of talking. Thanks for a great video. Nice job!

On the skin decision, why not do a test piece on a corner of that fabric? Take some skin colored thread and stitch a small area with 1/1 stitches and see what it looks like to you. It is a question of, does it look better to you and did it take twice the amount of time to do it? Whatever looks best to you, there are no cross stitch police! Thank you for your videos Gerald.

I’ve stitched quite a few large mirabilias, years before 1 over 1 skin was a thing, and they are beautiful. I prefer 2 over 2 skin. All of the stitches are the same height that way, it looks more consistent with the rest of the project. Do whichever you think looks better.

Looks great. And she’s turning out awesome! Yup am stitching with you.👍. To me tent stitches are good for sky etc. I am doing a sue colman and the sky is tent the native area is 1 over 1 and the animal is 2 over 1. But I cannot imagine skin tent.. hm. Can get lowery stands from charting creations I believe

Great progress! I like the 1 over 1 on skin, but I always do test stitches to be sure it suits the piece I'm working on. Half stitches are great on large solid backgrounds and very handy when doing those Dimension patterns with 5 and 6 strands. I really think it is personal preference on a lot of these decisions. Love your color of fabric; the colors really stand out. Happy stitching!

I got a Lowry stand from Amazon about 9 months ago. It looks exactly like yours and is darn sturdy. It took longer than most Amazon orders to arrive so I assume it came from England. Seems like the real thing and works great!

Yessss!! You're a chart marker as well. It feels so good, doesn't it? I understand what you're saying about half stitches/tent stitches but I do love what they can do for texture on a piece. Chartingcreations.com carries is now an authorized carrier of the Lowery stand, and at a good price. Same as yours, down to the same gold sticker so that may be something to share with your viewers. I sure love mine. Thanks for sharing your time & stitching with us again. Happy stitching!

Hi Gerald, Is that Kreinik just above where you're stitching now? How do you like working with it? Personally, I hate it. Now I know "hate" is a strong word, but the sooner I finish the piece that calls for it, the better!! Your Lady Liberty is massive!! Do you ever keep track of the number of hours you put into your pieces? It might be shocking!! Doesn't matter how many hours. It's just stunning!! Thank you for sharing. I love watching people stitch. It's mesmerizing until I realize I'm doing more gawking and less of my own stitching! LOLOL Have a great weekend! Hugs from Winnipeg!! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

hahaha as I sit here doing tent stitch! No judgement taken. It's background shadowing and it's going fast.

I found Lowery frames a couple of weeks ago at lakeside needle craft.com.uk. I was looking for accessories for my frame. I also found workstands.com for accessories where I purchased the long frame adapter. I received it very fast. These seem to be authentic but not sure. I received the adapter last week.

Just checked the website for Lovecrafts and they do have the Lowery Stand. It looked like it was cheaper than Sew and Sew. Also had it in a couple of different colors. I think it’s out of stock on Amazon. There is another brand though. It may be a knockoff. I believe Stitcherista got one and did a video on it Well that was fast. The stands aren’t on the website anymore.

If a kit calls for half stitches in area’s ~ do you stitch the half or do you, or can you, stitch them full stitches instead ?

This is a controversial answer for your skin stitching. I have both one over one and the two over two. Both are Beautiful! However, the one over one ☝️: Appears as Professional Traditional THIN Modern Models. The Two over Two. Seems a little bit Like (pardon these words) a non working model. Beautiful, yes! Both are Gorgeous. However, there some finishes that the One over One, takes away from the overall beauty. The Face does not seem to fit with the clothes. My opinion! Not to hurt anyone. Mirabilias are so Beautiful.
