Happy new year to you, Lisbeth. You know, both my grandmother and mother were seamstresses and my sister embroiders the most beautiful pieces. However, I can bearly darn a sock and sew on a button. I may try a few easy pieces, but I'll happily continue to follow this challenge and admire and get inspired by the group's submissions.
@lisbethdegn-dragenkunst3 күн бұрын
You can more even more that you mother thinks you can. Everybody who can thread a needle can do this challenge. Another thing is if you want too 😉 Sewing wearable things doesn’t interest me (I admire those who can) so therefore I can’t do it.

I know many of you here on YT by strange names, so I can’t always figure out who you are on FB. Sounds great you’re like it. You can do as many as you like with the rules and show them in the group but you can also work further by yourself. Thank you

Count me in, Lisbeth! I am Renee from Victoria, Australia, & I’ve only started slow stitching in early 2024. You scare me when you say that the sewing will get harder by the end of the year, but since you are the person who taught me how to do feather stitch, back when you included it on one of your paper projects, I know that you are an excellent teacher, as well as a wonderful artist. 🧵 One of my very favorite bands is Danish, called Svartsot - they do folk metal of Danish folk lore, & they are marvellous! Unfortunately, I don’t know Danish, so the only lyrics that I know the meaning of are those that have been translated on various sites, which is not enough! 😊
@lisbethdegn-dragenkunst3 күн бұрын
Nice to have you in the boat and don’t worry you will do fine. Doing something new is always a little scary. The name of the band is Sort Sol and that means black sun. Think the word svart you says is Swedish

Great. It is some very old papers I used when I was was making cards many moons ago, so I don’t know the exact gsm. But I would use between 140-200 gsm.

What an inviting project! Are there other rules regarding circles? One large or a circle of any size? More than one? Black paint or any colour? This project seems like just the right size for me- not too big, not too small, with room for lots of accidental discovery. I’m new to slow stitch and live on Vancouver island in Canada. Thank you for this.
@lisbethdegn-dragenkunst4 күн бұрын
Thanks Follow the very simple rules and don’t do anything else. If something is free. I will write it. Light colored fabric 1 circle in any size you want. Only black paint. Running stitches in straight lines. Thread in your color choice. If all just do what they want to do in the challenge it will not be exciting to see how different we do it, despite we have been following the same rules. What you do by yourself is totally up to you but then it’s not a part of this challenge. You’re welcome to do more than one and develop ii by yourself
