Hello! Hope you're having a wonderful New Year! I want to start the year by sharing everything I made in 2024.✨ All my craft items! I hope I didn't miss anything! Everything from sashiko, crochet, embroidery, sewing, weaving and painting. Looking at all the items I made all together brought back lots of happy memories. In the video, I also did a little baking and worked on my last project of the year. I hope you will enjoy this video!

This year I have committed myself to not purchase anything new for any of my crafts (unless I’m replacing something) and I will use items from the stashes I have available to each of my hobbies. I have so many wonderful things that I’ve acquired over the years and I simply can no longer justify bringing more things in. So, I will work my way thru things I’ve set asides as to precious to use as well as all my basic stash. I’m actually looking forward to seeing what comes from this perspective of crafting. I will enjoy inspiration and resist wanting and getting things.

That is such a great goal and mindset! It is better to use up what you already have before buying new. I've been doing that for a while and then slipped a bit...lol but I still only buy things I will use for sure. Limiting to certain colors, not buying more than what I can fit in the storage boxes, and keeping track of what I already have so I don't buy duplicates. 😊

Thank you for sharing all your talent from last year. Can't wait to see what you'll come up with this year. I've been dying unbleached sashiko threads with Rit dye, but you never get the desired color. So, an idea popped up. I'm experimenting by separating the 6 threads of the embroidery floss and combining them with other colors. I'd only use 2 to 3 threads and stitch like Chinese silk stitching. I like how t it isn't bulky as if you use the whole embroidery floss. If this works, I have another pattern for sewing the Japanese rice bag.

Oh! I saw that in one of Higuchi Yumiko's embroidery book. She combined 2 colors/threads together and stitched a flower. It's quite pretty! 😊
