Here is a better idea for a Cabin Fever remake, have a bunch of friends/family go to a cabin for some traditional get-together, later police arrive telling the family that they discovered the water is contaminated by an unknown virus and they instantly put the people in the cabin in quarantine. As days go by you slowly see the group of people grow mad and turn on one another and in the end, it is left to the audience to guess whether their madness was from the virus or caused by cabin fever.

Andy, There's another "Cannibal Holocaust" styled thing from around the same time it was made but I can't remember the title No, it wasn't the Eli Roth Green Inferno one. This one eventually had a blonde woman that, after a rape scene, gets to be "queen of the tribe" towards the end & has a scene where one of the cannibal villagers gets their throat cut, hung upside down & basically devoured by some kind of insects for which you get to see various stages of on their face. What is this movie? I'm assuming you probably have seen it but, no technical remake of it although I do think certain things were re incorporated into the Eli Roth thing. ( like the guy getting devoured a bit by the ants, or, the rape scene where their about ready to give the woman a cliterectomy) PLEASE, if you know this movie name, let me know!!

According to IMDB: Director Eli Roth originally got the idea for this movie while working in Iceland on a horse farm. He got such a bad skin infection from the rotting hay in the barn that his face broke out in sores, bled and peeled off when he shaved. Also thank you!

i know im way late but flesh eating bacteria does actually exist in all bodys of water usually its not enough to be dangerous or even cause anything any problems but it can cause problems occadionally there may be news clips here on youtube from 2011 when flesh eating bacteria levels got high here in ga. at lake sinclair and a couple of people got infected and subsequently died edit a quick youtube search shows that in florida just last month a couole people died by contracting flesh eating bacteria

Cabin Fever holds a special place in my heart since the original was one of the first horror movies I watched on TV and managed to sit through without getting scared, so I decided to one day return to rewatch it to see if it held up but then got Cabin in the Woods instead because I didn't remember the name and I was so confused for like half an hour of that movie but it became one of my favorites. So I guess there are no mistakes, only happy accidents.

Let's be real, the original Cabin Fever isn't a masterpiece, but what it does have is its entertainment value. To this day, I couldn't stop laughing at the pancake scene. Meanwhile the remake took itself way too seriously, that it fails miserably. Great job as always! ❤️

To be honest I liked both Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining, and Stephen King’s The Shining miniseries version. But to be honest, if you want a faithful version that isn’t so corny, bad CGI, or animation is just reading the story from the book version. Because the book allows the readers to imagine what’s happening because the lack of pictures. The Shining novel version is much better; compared to both adaptations, the novel version is better in my opinion in all honesty. Being a fan of Stephen King, he is the Master of Horror and Suspense, but not good writing for movies. He can write good stories on paper, but the transition from book to screen does not always transition well from page to screen.
