4 years later, I have a basket of not finished tubular spirals because I could never get the ends to match up right. I don't use a clasp, I just sew the two ends together, make it long enough to slide over the head for seniors and my mom esp to easily wear them but some just came out bad, not professional looking. I'd just start a new one and never finish the old! Now that I found this video, I have about 20 - 30 necklaces to finish! Covid is perfect beading time. And now finishing and making little spiral earrings to match. Thanks. And don't think we aren't still watching you making little tacos! Fav beading teacher! Thank you!

I am so glad you made this video. It is so frustrating to get so many tutorials that never explain how to finish off or add clasps. Thus, I have MANY unfinished projects because didn't know how to end them.

Your videos are wonderful! The focus is impeccable and your verbal instructions are clear. You don't start and stop sentences without finishing them and you use the same terms over and over rather than changing what you call something as you go. Your instructions are not only indispensable, they are priceless to me. Thank you so much.

+Jill Wiseman I have been doing beading for years, all kinds of beading, but there is always more to learn and patterns I haven't seen before. You are the absolute best teacher I have come across. You are the easiest to understand and your camera usage is perfect. Someday I'll send you a few pix of what I have done, but it doesn't compare to your items.

You have a good visual and audio quality in your videos, so many times I get turned off of tutorials because of poor quality.

Hi Jill, Could you please do a demonstration on the other types of thread? You mentioned 1-G and Nymo. I've heard of c-Lon & s-Lon. I don't understand what the best sizes are and when you would choose to use them. I've only used fire line but I would like to know if there are other threads that would be fun to use.

I'd want to use that stitched segment in a necklace. To do that I'd need to use caps of some sort on those ends and I have pretty metal ones, but wouldn't a beaded end cap in one of the colors look nice. Do you have such a tutorial? I am thinking ladder stitch, as opposed to the spiral, to set it off, but how would you make the top close allowing for a wire/ string to pass through to join to the rest of the piece.

I have a bracelet that was given to me by a friend that I would love to make. Some people call it "Circles and Fans." Have you heard of it? Would you be willing to show us how? Thanks for everything that you have taught me.

Hi Jill. I’m watching your video from 7 years ago about ending spiral herringbone ropes. Just like you did, I found one of the ropes I made years ago. My granddaughter wants one and I cannot find the pattern that I used. It looks exactly like your pink and light pink that you use to show how to finish this piece. Can you send me the spiral herringbone rope pattern to make the pink rope?

G'Day Jill, I was doing a project that required the use of seed beads. I needed to use two different coloured 11/0's. I selected my two colours and started to work the design. I was using Toho 11/0's... one crystal clear and the other one was white Opaque. After I had started I noticed that the crystal ones looked like they were 8/0's.... I thought that I was having one of those days!!!! so I checked the bags they came in (twice) and they both stated that they were indeed 11/0s. They both worked together and the design came out great. Is there a difference in shape, size and brand name even if they are called 11/0s e.t.c. Thanks for the video.... Have a great Day, my friend...... Chris from OZ

I've used size 11s, different colors, same brand and had them be different sizes. It's odd that that can happen but it works as long as I'm not loom weaving. So for weaving, I always use delicas.

@julieweinstein82219 жыл бұрын
what kind of clasps do you typically use with the spiral herringbone?
@JillWisemanDesigns9 жыл бұрын
+Julie Weinstein I usually use my Peyote Tube Toggle with the herringbone ropes. Most commercial clasps are too big for the rope size in my opinion.
