Definitely the best way for you to learn (and rather useful for us too) ! Impressed with your determination....

Just Fantastic is all I can say You became my sewing hero with the Marilyn dress and now I can't wait for your videos - you truly are an inspiration to a newish sewer who has so far only made 4 dresses 2 skirts and 3 tops Thankyou

Karen - what a delight - thank you. 4 dresses, 2 skirts and 3 tops sounds like almost a full wardrobe to me! So glad you are inspired by these videos, that is precisely the intention - and I encourage you to try new things - ignore that you may think you are a beginner - you probably know skills that will get you a long way so be daring!

This is amazing. I love how you explain the whole process cuz i literally spent all the time thinking how the dress fitted on her in the movie... Like it seemed to be not completely wrapping her up but it also wasn't falling off. You totally nailed it!

I just found your channel and oh my god, recreating those iconic dresses is something I always wanted to do! I am definitely going to try doing this as soon as I can. I'm kinda getting bored with sewing stuff that's not challenging, you know? Anyway, thanks for the videos! I loved watching them!

I've never seen the film, but it's definitely one of those films that everyone feels like they have because quotes & clips from it just sort of permeates pop culture. I find I have that problem with books. "Did I actually read that?...or did I just see an adaptation of it somewhere?" But anyways! I'm really loving this series, watching you learn all these new techniques & troubleshooting. It's entertaining and educational...and also definitely inspirational to a new sewist like myself. It reminds me that slow is not bad. If it takes me a month to make a skirt, then so be it. Better to take a month and end up with the best damn skirt ever than to rush myself through so I have something to wear...that I will never actually wear because it was so rushed and botched and horrid!
@StitchMyStyle7 жыл бұрын
Abso-bloody-lutely never be tempted to think that you should be doing something faster just because other people are - slow is king. Enjoy the process and you will make something beautiful. Fact. Thanks so much for your lovely comment

You are so brave to take on such a project. Are you doing a college course or is it just a challenge for you.
@StitchMyStyle7 жыл бұрын
It's just a challenge for me - I'm pretty much self taught and wanted to make fewer, but more challenging items so this is part of that effort! Thanks very much for your kind words :)
@juliadroy11797 жыл бұрын
You're so right I'd rather make things that are more challenging than just rush garments out one after another.
