I'm not a GG fan or anything, but I was so hyped for Stixxay after he dashed in and literally won them the game with that assassination on Doublelift. He's always been such an underrated player, just been on bottom teams for a number of years. I've never looked at him as being the problem with the rosters he's been on, it's just hard to play ADC when your other lanes are getting stomped.

What's really interesting is when Mark, Kobe and Emily are going over EG vs GG lane by lane, it does not really sound like EG would be such favorites. But the overall impression of them seems to be much higher. Specifically: if GG botlane > EG botlane like they all said; Gori was much higher in All-pro voting than Jojo; Inspired got 3rd on All-pro, but only slightly ahead of River; and Licorice seemed to hugely step up... how come the prediction is so heavily EG-favored? :)

I'm surprised that teams keep letting Wukong through, in draft. He's not impossible to beat, but it takes a player throwing with him for 20 minutes for that to happen. If he survives, your ADC just doesn't get to play the game. It's been going on in all the regions for the last 3 weeks at least. Ban Zeri and Wukong and it feels like games come down to actual skill and teamplay.

​@@iChuckTIt honestly makes me think they overindexed on the prep for C9. And Wukong was high prio but CLG were the ones to take it (two games on Elise, two on Wu) and C9 gave it over, never bothered to ban it. And they still lost. Possible, especially with how uncharacteristically bad some of their players played between the two series only a couple days apart, that the team lost faith in their own prep since it didn't work. So they figured they could instead give over the Wukong like C9 did in lieu of something else. And then the meme Sion for Dhokla...honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if it was intentional *because* Dhokla was tilted, to give him something to chill on and not have more pressure/onus to carry put on him by hard swapping to a carry pick. And the team just progressively boomed, with each loss.

One last thing, in game 3 of the EG series Jojo surviving for as long as he did in a 1 v 2 and still trading back a kill was seriously impressive. IMO that sequence basically won them the game cause EG had 4 people pushing top and he stayed alive for 22 seconds in a 1 v 2 which allowed EG to break into the base.

Speaking to Kobe's point about CLG who would you even look to replace before summer? I will say there are some teams that need a really good top laner (TL) and Bwipo would gladly return to pro play. I also don't think 100T is ever going to be a top team with how they play. If you are drafting scaling every single game you will never do well internationally. We've seen it repeatedly done and every time it fails because other regions do it better.

Tenacy is better off swapping to a different team, even if they're lower standing. He has the mechanics to play strongside AND weakside top. If hes on same team as bjerg/dlift who cant adapt, i dont ever see him getting off tank duty and he gets exposed by better tops in basically any other region

@John Pang lower standing can mean last place as well, moron. The only place that can be good for tenacity is GG. All other "lower standing" teams wouldn't change a thing for him. Team stagnation does not equal individual stagnation. if he was a monster top laner, you think he wouldn't be allowed to play carries? I still remember that fiora game where he absolutely inted it away by having 0 presence despite being the strongest one in the game.

Yes. Each team declares a sub "sixth man" prior to playoffs along with their starting five that they can rotate out as needed. Some years it has been a two sub maximum (so you can't swap an entire team out), which led to stuff like 2018 summer C9 playoff run where they subbed in Svenskeren-Goldenglue for Blaber-Jensen mid-TSM series to make finals.

Didn’t say diplex forsure better just said they have two good mids if they need to swap for some reason. Maybe emenes goes mental breakdown toxic int afk. Or just no confidence can’t play well or enemy just has him downloaded. Stuff happens. And diplex played more trustworthy consistent if they just need that instead. But I like emenes and think he can be beast forsure.

I have it 3-1 GG over EG. I think the meta is super heavily who has the better ADC right now and I think FBI was trying to lose their series vs CLG only slightly less then Luger. I think GG rolls out with Lucian Nami and Ezreal Soraka lanes when EG tries to play it safe with things like Jinx/Thresh and Xayah/Rakan and simply gaps them bot side with Licorice going back to his more passive weakside role.

I think GG got it. 3-2 or even 3-1. It's weird that people forget how good Gori and River are. Yeah they didn't shine in series vs 100, but I hope they are still potentially best mid-jg in LCS tbh. We will see, I guess. I think the reason they didn't shine that much vs 100 was cause Bjergsen is the worst match up for Gori, Bjergsen played his rather textbook, more passive play style all his life, it's hard to make aggressive plays onto him. Meanwhile Jojo likes to Duke it out, but in that playstyle I think Gori will l jist outplay him straight up. Gori is no Palafox. And River literally is the best jungler in LCS, despite having a slump right now.

The main thing I like about emenes is how willing he is to flex picks. Him just taking k'sante and letting Fudge slam a hard counter has insane value esp bc in NA so far his picks haven't really been punished in lane. His Jayce games have usually been punished more so from being separate from the team in a river fight and then, like they pointed out, he's just willing to go balls to the walls to find a window back even if it means dying for it. How Fudge's counters will do vs Impact could make or break the series.

The EG vs CLG series was such low quality, CLG was just perma inting and EG wouldn’t want to fight them when they int. 100t is terrible when closer doesn’t get his champs and still somehow got leads over fly and ended up throwing. C9 vs CLG idk how to judge because C9 always struggles with CLG and played like complete garbage.

CLG's pop off performance against C9 at the end of the split was not real. C9 was clearly troll picking and inting the game on purpose to force the tiebreaker game wtih FlyQuest. Do not use that game as the one example of CLG's peak. C9 picked a troll poke comp with zero hard CC or engage, and then Emenes on Jayce ran at them like a maniac trying to die. C9 strategically inted so they could gauge Fly's power level going into playoffs, to force tiebreakers for 3-5 and scout opposition pick/ban. Do not be fooled into thinking CLG was good. They only looked great when their opponent was strategically inting. The one time they popped off their opponents were sandbagging for strategic reasons. Not a good sign lmao. That's the most copium take of all time. Thinking CLG is a real team based on one performance against C9. OMEGALUL the delusion.
