TINY Vintage 1940s Montgomery Traction Elevator @ Sherman Gardens - Evanston, IL

(8-2-19) This is the SMALLEST elevator I have ever seen in my life! They call this the service elevator, but the passenger elevator is bigger than this! I don't even think a toilet would fit in this....
Anyway, this is a completely original, gated, Montgomery traction elevator. I absolutely love the fixtures on this.

Okay the same exact elevator is in Lunt Lake Condominiums off of Sheridan Rd in which I lived when I was a kid back in the 90s and it was cool except ours was a little bit bigger land we were on the 7th floor.

I remember one time I had a dream I went to a fun building that I think was meant for little kids because the elevators were so small that you would have to crawl to get through the door and the cab was so small you only had room to sit in the default floor sitting position so that you could press the floor buttons which were actually some nice schindler RT buttons and even those were custom made to be tiny

But actually it was kind of fun because it was quite a big facility with lots of custom tiny elevators going to differant office spaces and hotels and stuff

I think you can fit a toilet, but you definitely can't fit both a toilet & a person at the same time. Looks like the 6th floor door was replaced.
