Because the stoat needs to eat meat! Without predators the rabbit population would multiply very quickly and vastly then eat so many plants that they would starve along with other prey animals not hunted by predators. Respect nature!

As the rabbit squeals, you can't help to want to watch it till the end. You know its natural selection. You know when you see a fight between a predator and prey there will be death and sometimes blood. The only thing dark here is knowing the prey needs help to escape. All one can do is watch helpless as it dies. In this case being eaten alive.
