They're obviously leaving food random places for her, like an obstacle course. The net with an egg on it has a perfect hole cut in the corner for her to go down with the egg, and made for it not to break on the way down.
@EyeSeeThruYou3 жыл бұрын
@@groowanderer Since the narrator stated the team set up a "rigged nest" (with video equipment) then creating a treasure hunt of sorts makes sense. Maybe they were trying to ascertain the stoat's scavenging skills?

My dog found one of these fursnake babies the other day, in the living room, in his bed! Luckily, he's terrified of every live animal that's smaller than him. I had him for 2 days, He's at a rehab center, now. Absolutely no fear of humans, to the point he fell asleep in my hand while I was cleaning up his tote. Never even tried to bite, or escape. I think he was inside for a day or so before I found him, so the microwaved socks and canned cat food most likely bought him over lol.

I have an urban mongoose that lives across the street. I toss him shrimp sometimes, and bread for the birds. One evening, I was watching him through binoculars after I tossed the shrimp and bird bread over the fence and I saw him wander into the doves' area who were eating the bread and suddenly he sprung at one of the big doves, striking it lightning fast, grabbed it and ran under the building with it! I mean, I know it happens but what a surprise to see it in person.

@krankarvolund77713 жыл бұрын
Well yeah that's Nature. In most mammal species very few young survive until adulthood. To have a constant population (so no overpopulation and no extinction) you only need two successful young per female. Most mammals have 3 to 6 youngs per litter and multiple litters in their life of all successfully reach adulthood and reproduced there will be overpopulation XD
