Appreciate you making and sharing this video. I just picked up a PW and the factory tires are horrendous. Wasn’t sure if 37’s would work on stock suspension and I definitely wanted to stay stock. After watching your video it was clear 37’s would fit and I actually went from looking at BFG KO2 to exactly what you have MT Baja Boss AT. The tires and stance is perfect now. I ditched the factory 33’s right away when I got my 22 power wagon. Got AEV Katla wheels with nitro Terra grapler g2s in 37x12.5x18 and they fit just fine with no rubbing any where

I’ve been trying to figure out if 37s will fit without major modification on stock wheels but can never find a straight answer on the forums. Can I ask what you tow, and if you’ve towed with the 37s how it is?

I have the exact year ,color truck. One thing you have to keep in mind for/Heavy Towing/, is the reduction in gear ratio .Even though it has the much improved ZF 8 speed tranny , the 4.10 stock ratio gearing weakens quickly with bigger tires from stock 33s

I do not tow often enough and I know a LOT of folks in the Jeep world love to regear as well. An often overlooked aspect of power and gear ratio is actually what elevation you use the vehicle at, that increased gear ratio might need to go much higher if you are in the mountains of Colorado vs the beaches of NC

I have a 2 inch spacer from my old lifted 2500, what if I installed the spacers in the front to prevent it rubbing, what you think of that? I have 22 PW

Spacers in just the front might be odd??? Idk I personally stay away from spacers and select for wheels with the offset needed, the rubbing is minimal so for me I'll keep it. But lmk if that works

Thanks for measuring. My duratracs just failed a sidewall and I like the look of the Mickeys. Think I’ll be ripping the trim off the garage door if I go 37s. But might just work with 35s

I couldn't agree more!! I think it is due to the DOT and PSI ratings, and the same reason you cannot reset the inflation warnings to be low enough to make 37s ride comfortable (35psi)

No, but I actually think it was caused by the lane detect feature and how I usually ride the right side line in the narrow roads locally because the truck is really wide. But if I find out otherwise I'll let you know.

Ram engineers spent millions designing this truck to do what it does, but somehow, someone who just bought one knows that it’s better to put larger tires on it. There is no doubt that larger tires look cool, but there will be no appreciable difference in performance, except for slower acceleration, decreased gas mileage, and a decrease in towing capacity. My stock 2019 PW has been on trails in Colorado, Utah, Idaho, and Montana without any issues, plus it hauls hay on my ranch in the winter through snow and mud with no problem.

I don't tow often, only a full 20ft uhaul trailer with the OEM tires. I do HAUL a lot so with the airbags I load the bed with gravel and soil often for the farm 2500-4000lbs and it hauls fine no noticable difference. These 6.4 hemi's have a TON of power and I would bet that the loss from OEM to 37 is almost completely unadjusted for math. I get the exact same gas mileage as I did before. 12% difference in tire size needs to be your multiplier for speedo, distance traveled, gas mileage and frequency of oil change. I'll do a follow up video soon showing all of the mileage pictures before and after and it's down to the 0.2 of an mpg identical. So I would assume most accounts of worse towing mileage are from the same unaccounted for math.
