Yes I am the 74x crew chief and best friend. We knew we weren't going to make it in the big race but went to make laps and have. My son Jonathan Warnicke 13x did start 9th and made it in to big race on points in 602 late mode. We are so proud of thought theml

Love the dirt racing. Guys out there banging on each other having fun. Not getting rich but loving it all the while. My father drover dirt for 25 years and I miss the track. The dust, smell of oil, rubber, and greasy French fries with vinegar.
@petegregory5173 жыл бұрын
Yep, me too. You may enjoy on KZbin a visit to St Thomas Speedway St Thomas PA. It’s where I went as a kid in the 50’s to watch the jalopies. You can still see the outline of the track on Google earth. A few pics of the early days can be searched out also. Very entertaining. My boy was Clem Lemaster out of WV and a brother of one of my friends also competed. $1 admission and .15(?) cent fries as I recall. Had my dad not died at 50yo, I’d have had a car as he owned a body shop and my brother did exhaust systems. Ah yeah, good times, memories.

These are far better to watch than those 'Late Model' shiitters. Most are not standing on the r/f with the l/r steering the car. While they may be fast they look dreadfull. Problem is these are body styles of cars 40 y/o,, these days collectable cars. They should be using more current styles of cars, eg Camaros Mustangs and Chargers or Challengers
