Return on Equity (RoE) and Return on Capital Employed (RoCE) for a period of time say 5/7 years are one of the primary ratios one has to look into or check right before working on all other ratios mentioned by you in the video. Only after you verify these ratios one should give a green signal oneself for a long term investment in corporate stock.

I always have reserve buying power in case the stock goes down in price, so I drip buy until I lower my average cost per share low enough to get out sooner...without any loss. I like to swing or momentum trading with VWAP, 200 MA, RSI, AND MACD. Also, for longer term, I have a 30/80 percent rule; whereby, I buy a lot of shares once the yearly high is at 30% or lower; then sell off at 80% of their yearly high.

I'm new to stock investing and was wondering why would anyone buy a stock you currently hold when it's value is rapidly decreasing? Wouldn't the buyer just be losing money?
@Arvabelle4 жыл бұрын
If you're looking at a longer term perspective, people buy as long as they think they'll be able to sell it for more in the future. So even if the stock price is decreasing, if it's a solid company and is likely to recover, that's would be why people buy it.

What you described is what I always envisioned stock trading to be. With the Gamestop happening I decided to take a closer look just to see what it was really all about. Many people on here detail how they use the stocks past performance to try to predict how it's going to do. Very few videos I've come across that actually say to research the company before buying like you say here. I was starting to think that the stocks were only valued by buyer confidence to turn profit. So maybe the study of stock performance is more of a shortcut to get around studying the company's status. I understand if a company goes under then all is lost for stock holders but aside from that. It looks like a stock is only worth the amount someone else is willing to pay for it at that time. If I buy a stock for $20 and the market price drops to $10 then it kind of looks like a disconnect from how the company is performing. But guess I'd better look into this matter, could be another can of worms. Thanks for the video.

Usually we go through the list of the s&p500 and pick stocks that we understand and think will outperform and r riding megatrends like cloud, digital advertising, robotics tech or cashlessness etc. We also set a bar of atleast 5 billion and above in terms of market cap. Also agree with ur point on investing in stocks one is familiar with.

Hello. I am a 13 year old eighth grader, and I really want to create my own future financially, so I'm able to give my family the type of life I believe any and every child should have the right to. I'm taking a big dive into investing, and I want to learn about it. I don't have any money, but I want to get educated before I put money into it. Does anyone have any suggestions for videos to learn more about the stock market, or quick tips that I can research more about? Arvabelle, thank you for the videos. Thank you to those who leave a reply to help my situation.
