I'm all confused about the open and close lines.Almost all of them have the open and close lines.How can the lines represent the open of the market and close when they all have them?

Hi Vincent I'm not really sure what you mean. Each bar consists of 4 elements, the open is the branch sticking out on the right, the close is the one on the left the High and low are defined by the high and low of the central bar. Hope that helps. Cheers

guess I should have asked open and close of what exactly?the candlesticks zip by so fast.Does each one represent an open or close?

Each one represents the specific time frame. So on a daily chart, one bar is one day. On a 15 minute chart it would represent 15 minutes and tells you where prices opened on the left. On the right is the close of that session and then the next bar forms. Again it Opens on the left, prices moves around a bit and that forms the central bar or spread and then the close on the right. The high and the low of the session are the extremities of the central bar. I don;t use candlesticks so U'd have to look them up, can't see the point and I like to keep things really simple.

Thanks for your reply,It makes abiy more sense now.Im playing a stick simulator called best broker to try to grasp what's going on there.The chart goes by pretty quick.I don't think it's all that accurate because instead of time stats stars at the bottom it just has dates and they skip a day or so between them.So that had me confused abit.
