I live about 15 minutes from the chemical fire! It was scary… still is. I moved my kids to a hotel in Buckhead for a couple of days. Back home now thankfully.

@@MarriageMotherhood a little. I left on Sunday night when I went outside I could smell the burning in the air. We came back Tuesday afternoon. At times throughout the day you’ll smell it slightly in my neighborhood for the most part, the air seems clear during the day. I don’t go outside at night and I keep my AC turned off. I’ve been running air purifiers at night too. It seems to get thicker and settle during the night. Apparently the wind is blowing to the west starting today through the weekend, so it’s no longer blowing in my direction. On the bright side I leave town this weekend for some days so hopefully it will be all cleared up by the time we get back.

Getting some bottled water just in case is a smart move. It's great to have on hand in case of an emergency and you have to leave quickly. Please don’t panic. Slow and steady wins the race when preparing. If you don’t know how to cook from scratch, pull together some recipes and practice a few things. I promise it’s not that hard once you start. And most paper good are actually made in the USA.

These news stories cause most of panic buying. I was shocked on Friday to see panic buying of paper products, at Costco and yes mostly Tiolet paper, only 10 packs left of Charmin at $32.99, which was just on was just on sale for under $20.00 Costco Brand T- paper already gone. Has no one really learned! I get it maybe people don’t have space or money… But in the last 4 years people haven’t learned to have a few month supply of Tiolet paper stocked up? I was shocked to see it happening.

This isn’t the First time this has happened either and it’s absolutely Heartbreaking. Prior Bio Labs were Fined $2,500.00! Pocket Change to them . This is because The Legal Regulatory system has been set up to protect Corporations. They have zero insensitive to put the money into Equipment, Safety Procedures , Training Etc. These Companies would rather pay politicians to Not put in place regulations, rather then take care of this community. Private Equity Firms only care about the shareholders getting wealthy. Bio Labs Inc is owned by KIK. They are shady and Immoral. It is unlikely that they will be held accountable for this most recent disaster. They will just claim Bankruptcy and the workers will most likely get screwed. Not to mention all of us who breathe the Air.

I’m in Florida 45 minutes from me was hit hard. Yes,we know to prepare and thousands lost their home and lots and lots of restaurants,hotels and let me assure you we are close to Disney and it never gets easier. Yes!!! Every dang year the west coast gets damage and we lose power for days. My MIL is 90 and lives in Greenville SC and had no power for 6 days. Thank the lord for her neighbors.

The Lord has been telling us to stock and prepare since the pandemic. The warning is getting louder and louder! We had a hurricane and we were not prepared but now most of us here are prepared bc you don’t know what will happen in this nation.

There is nothing wrong with preparing for the future just make sure you do it with a clear mind so you don't buy unnecessary things that you don't need for your family. 🥰

Thankfully the strike is over but this is far from the end. There are plenty of things that we need to prepare for. I trust God. First and foremost. I trust his word as well. So preparing for me doesn’t only include a pantry stockpile-as we seen in North Carolina can be wiped out with the quickness. Think wills, trusts for your properties, life and other insurances in place..the things that are really gona matter in the end. Have a family meeting about what you all can do incase of a natural or other disaster, and have an emergency plan in place. I am praying for our world. The unrest and perils are unsettling however it’s nothing that God can’t do and because I know it’s part of his plan and in his hands I am okay! Glad your family is doing well Gia! ❤🙏🏽
