Please go back and listen to these guys rate/rank/review Illinois' transfer portal class last year. Literally listen to anyone and the "they don't have a PG" "They have Ty Rodgers playing PG" "who is Marcus Domask, and why is he the best transfer?". Did any of that matter? Here is a true statement: Brad Underwood has consistently identified extremely high talent. Whether that be a no name Giorgi B, Curbelo, Plummer, Coleman, etc. He knows talent. He gets talent. Illinois will be fine.

Dan Hurley has consistently said that Samson Johnson has NBA potential. Injuries and the emergence of Donavan Clingan interrupted his progress, but Hurley said this month that he believes Johnson is going to the NBA. Tarris Reed will back him up this year and start next year. Don't count out Solo Ball or Jaylin Stewart. So many players have made massive jumps in year two under Hurley's development.

I appreciate this Illinois analysis. Intelligent, objective. No passive-aggressive shit stirring. No bait. Even if the currently perceived best case of Humrichous, Oyenso and Jones were to come to pass, I don't believe in that roster. I look at that and just see a 22-23 redux. Show out occasionally, periodically fall off a cliff, limp into the tournament and accomplish nothing of note. I had hoped Brad had learned his lesson there, but this team is looking to be a mirror image of that catastrophe. Woof.

I knew we were going to be better than last year when we lost 5 of our top 8 scores. Stick to predicting what the weak big ten teams will do and don't worry about champions

And for the record, Tristen was a 5th year vet, Cam Spencer was developed by 2 other coaches first, and clingan was already an nba talent. Really not much developing for your key players other than Castle last year

@@aidanjennewein441 Only thing you know about UConn is that we smoked your team easy. Sanago was the 87 ranked player coming to Uconn and he developed from his freshman year to a champion. Hawkins was ranked 52 and averaged 4 points his first year. His second average 16 points and was a lottery pick. Jackson was ranked in the 50's and didn't play his first year and now he plays on the bucks. Clingan was ranked 58 not a star at all averaged 7 points and 5 rebs his first year. Karaban ranked 118 averaged 8 points his first year and this year he averaged 15 points. Newton played for ECU and was decent for one year but now he's first team all American. Spencer averaged 11 points in the weak big ten and for UConn he averaged 14 4 and for on 50/40/90 shooting. Either one of them were ranked coming out of highschool. Illinois sucks and I miss the days of liberty and Gill playing. I hope you make a title game one day.
