Simplicity is key. This bag is rugged and tough, no extra bells and whistles which isn't a bad thing. Let's not forget the patina potential, that leather is beautiful today. I can only imagine when it has some miles behind it, some sunshine on it, and stories to tell.

The right tools make easy work. What took you minutes on a bell skiver and sewing machine will take me hours to do by hand. I guess that is the trade off between a business and a hobby. Keep up the great work. Love all your stuff.

Started leatherwork when my camera strap broke more than a year ago. I decided to make one for myself and fell in love. Have done a few bags and masks and wallets and was able to sell them during the lockdowns. Saved me from bills till my work got going again. Found your channel recently and wished I would have subscribed sooner. Loved your camera bag build and this backpack is great! Simple, elegant and a lifelong piece to enjoy. Thanks

Just getting into leather work and love your videos. Very helpful and inspirational!! In this video, I specifically like how you make sure the part of the strap pieces that get hidden by the panel, are still done correctly and not just thrown together. A lot of character to make those decisions. Keep on keepin’ on, Parker.

I guess I didn't answer the question you asked about the bag. My favorite thing about this bag and what I like the most is the journey it will take to its patina. Its going to age so nicely and be a beautiful piece forever. This type of leather only gets better with age and I love that.

I like how the front has the stitching on the inside, and the back has it exposed. also looks like it would sit better that way. I'd like to try something like this someday, but it looks like a lot to hand stitch with leather of that weight. I like the color too.
