The sockets, especially so high up over the counter does not flatter the kitchen look. If you can’t lower their location you may want to hide them. I am sure there are lots of tricks, online.

We call it a squeegee too in America. My Dad uses it, but I’ve literally never seen it in any other shower. I just use my towel to dry it when I’m done.
