It's all very well putting a ton of baitfish in but if they don't have enough to eat they won't breed and subsequently the bass won't get enough to eat. It's not called a food chain for nothing.

I think you should add a floating fountain/aerator or 2 with lights. Beautiful look at night and extremely functional for the health of the pond also. Also, add some more structure for the bait fish to survive and breed. Add a load of pea gravel around the banks for the perch to be able to spawn easier also.

you might think about adding some cattails &/or reeds to one side of the pond, it'll give cover for fry to hide & grow. pond lillies would work too if they'll survive up there. with the plants come aquatic insects giving the small fish more food and breeding spots. another thing would be to sink a few old tires filled with gravel to help the bream spawning. just an idea. good luck & keep up the good work!!

maybe build a msall dock that it self is cover for all kinds of fish plus it gives you something to reach further out to the middle . maybe add some big catfish as well but for now the pond looks so much better with the boats out . at least the new fish will have a few days maybe to get use to there new home before the big boys go hunting for the little ones to eat , cant wait to see the micro pond again and how it is holding up , later lojo awesome restock .

I'm going to give some advice. Take it as you will. Stocking in the peak of summer is the worst time to stock. It doesn't give your bait fish anytime to reproduce and 50 to 75% will die off. Stock in the fall when the water is really cold so they don't die or all getting eating and then in the spring time stock again before the water temp reaches 60° and flathead minnows are the best because they don't spot reproduceing.

Good ponds, just like a nice yard, don't just happen - they take some work. I've always been a fan of 'eaters-over-trophies' for my ponds. I'll tend to have a massive population of smaller species like your bluegills and crappies with just a few large predators. I'm just lucky that here in Oz our preferred freshwater trophies are species like barramundi, which also taste great. So I can have a pond full of fun to catch & cook pan-sized perch that also supply food for a predator that can reach 5 feet in length. In a pond the size of yours, I'd stock about 30-50 barramundi about 6-10 inches long (6 months old) and within another year they'll be 20 inches long and about 6-8 pounds without supplementary feeding. Look into a solar-powered aerator, fountain or paddle wheel for oxygenation of the water. It'd probably be best over toward where the spring feeds in. As temperature rises, dissovled oxygen content drops. The best way to add disolved oxygen is through surface agitation.

Hey LoJo couple questions ⁉️ if you don'tind sharing with me.. How many acres is your tank?? How deep ?? And about how much did it cost to dig it out?? How many types of fish did you start with. I would love to make one out here in Az where I live currently but where I am at in the summer months 105° is actually cool maybe that's the night time temp. Where as in the daytime it'll get 112° or hotter..

I would never shy away from adding some minnows. My pond was 1/2 your size and 25ft deep at the middle. I added 250 smallie, 250 lg mouth, 500 sunfish or crappy(cant remember) and 5,000 flathead. I added an additional 10,000 2-3 months later and 5 catfish. I never stocked it again with anything and it was a feeding frenzy by every species, each doing their part for the ecosystem. At any time you could fish it and catch monster bass, fat and healthy and see the schools of minnows all around and splitting to deeper water when they saw you. My whole point in that ramble is if the balance is correct, each species should support the others. I'm also in Michigan, so our weather obviously isn't cooking the pond like your climate is...lol
