Former Boston Bruins Coach Don Cherry lets loose his foul mouth after the Bruins loss in the Stanley Cup Finals. He shows complete disregard for censorship and live T.V. etiquette. The end result is pure hilarity.

This wasn't actually a loss in the Finals. It was in 1979, in the semi-finals against the Habs. They led 3-2 with 2 minutes or so to play and they got a too many men penalty. Lafleur scored the equalizer on an epic slapper from right wing and Yvon Lambert sealed the deal in OT. You can recognize the CKGM microphone, which was an English-speaking radio station in Montreal at the time.
@RIUUI0072 жыл бұрын
Yes, Boston did receive a too many men penalty at 57:26 into the game. But the score was not 3-2 Boston at that point. Boston led 4-3 at that time. After the penalty at 57:26, Montreal then tied the game at 4-4 at 58:46.

Game 7 was in Montreal. Do you really think the Montreal fans would have stood still if Boston had won that game without the penalty being called? They rioted in the 50’s when Maurice Richard was ejected from the game after a fight. Who knows how pissed off they would have gotten if the officials hadn’t made the call.

@@peachman1970 yea I watched the game again and it was much WORSE that I thought, they let those 6 players in for a LONG ass time, not to mention yea there was 7 at one point. It was so obvious that the linesman kept saying to the Bruins bench "get them out, get them out!". So the refs actually helped the Bruins there for them to not take a penalty.

Well f-you and your unnecessary bigoted comment (frogs) ... Always glad to see Cherry lose. As for the refs : they actually tried to help the Bruins avoid the OBVIOUS too-many-men penalty! They didn't want to influence the outcome of such a huge game and when they noticed all 6 Bruins skaters, all well-involved in the action, none of them close to their bench... they actually yelled at one of the B's players :"get off the ice! you're too many!"
