@@tenniswilliam He criticized his last two predecessors, but at least Bush and Obama made the effort to exercise when they had the time. His last exercise may have been when he was playing baseball in high school. Bush has an MBA and Obama has a law degree, which are advanced degrees, which beat Trump's Wharton's Economics degree, since it is more difficult to obtain a Harvard MBA (Bush) or a Harvard JD (Obama), even though Wharton is a prestigious school, it probably isn't quite up there with Ivy League Harvard. As for Trump being impeached, unless enough Republicans vote for it in the Senate, it's not going to happen, unless he win in 2020 and the Democrats get enough votes in the House and Senate to do it.

Actually he is. Trump might deserve criticism for not attending last year because of rain, but not for not wearing a poppy when attending this year? Grapes is having a hissy fit over something trivial. There is other ways to support veterans besides wearing a poppy. That doesn't seem to register with him, and maybe it's because he probably doesn't have a high school diploma.

Living in Buffalo, I went to the "Grapevine" many, many times. They were mini museums with all the great photos hanging on the walls. First went to Fort Erie..... when they closed, I was heartbroken. Started going to Hamilton fairly regularly, for several years. Actually met Grapes there one night! After the Jays won the World Series, the franchisee turned the place into LA Batts. Sucked! Not knowing what happened, took a couple buds there. Ordered about $100 worth of food and drink. I'm looking around in utter shock and bewilderment. Waitress bring the food and booze..... I say to her "What the hell is going on here?" She gives me the speech about the changeover. I was so distraught, I said to the guys " Let's go!" They thought I was nuts. I couldn't stay another second. Put 2 $100 bills on the table (American, I might add), and said, "we're outta here!" Called information and found the next closest location in Mississauga; we drove there and all was right with the world! Never set foot in Hamilton again!

The young men that fought in the war were immigrant decent, he said nothing wrong, new immigrant should take more pride of what Canada stands for, the immigration laws should explain, when I came to Canada I did not know about the poppy. Therefore, bring Don Cherry back and lets enjoy Hockey. WORDS FROM AN IMMIGRANT...CANADIAN BY CHOICE

Who says they don't? Where is this proof or observation that new immigrants don't respect Canada and what it stands for? Where exactly does this idea come from? Is it from those Facebook memes that tell you immigrants get put up in 5 star hotels, get 30k and that it's ridiculously easy to get accepted into the country? Jesus Christ man, how about you talk to an new immigrant and see what they're actually like.

Teresa Melo I'm from a Portuguese immigrant family, and love Don Cherry. He makes me so proud to be Canadian. People take things so personally now, that's a shame. I mean he was speaking off the cuff, passionately pleading with a television audience and so many people were acting as if it were a public and personally directed shaming.

Say what you like about Don Cherry the person, he is right a lot of the time about hockey. Especially if fights were allowed as they once were it would stop the cheap shots, allow the players to police themselves. Plus those that watch hockey enjoy seeing a fight now and then. What they should have is fight rules. Drop the gloves and take the helmet off and punch away.

A lot of what he said back then predicted Donald Trump's xenophobic nationalism and plain, crude demeanour 15 or so years in the future. Seen through that lens, he doesn't seem so charming and amusing - unless you see Trump as being someone to revere.
