I’ve previously studied with the open university so I’m familiar with distance learning. One area I know I need to focus on is changing my mind set of giving vast amount of details and structuring my answers and padding them out, need to focus on being more direct and succinct. Great advice, thank you!

Your videos are great and a massive help. In terms of studying and revising. What resources are best for this? Is there a certain book we should be studying to gain a general knowledge of this sector or anything? Thanks

OPINION WILL DEFER FROM PERSON TO PERSON PLUS THE PERSON WHO IS CHECKING THIS. SO THIS IS A SUBJECTIVE . SO OPINIONS OF ANSWER PAPER CHECKING WILL ALSO DEFER WHICH ULTIMATELY WILL REST IN FAURE OF CANDIDATE EVEN IF HE HAS ADDRESSED THE POINTS.

Thank you for the video. Very helpful. I am struggling with the "critical writing" and answering the scenario based questions. I mean I know the answer, but I don't know how to incorporate the scenario into it. Do you have any advice on that? Any phrasing method or something would be great. Many thanks

Hi Adam, thanks for a very useful video. where would you say your focus should be when it comes to studying? Are there areas that need more attention than others? Thanks again.
@StockwellSafety3 жыл бұрын
Concentrate on the areas where you know you are weaker.

We had a week in the classroom which was a total waste of time - death by upto 178 power point slides per day over five days (no other materials other than book) the exam is April 5th and we all (in the group) work full time. Feel i should have been more informed prior to taking the course, i am putting in two hours a night but really dont think thisnis enough after at least 9 hour day and sometimes a 3 hour journey! wish i had seen this before i might have requested to be on the next exam

Thanks for your informative video I've heard many suggesting to split my answer into smaller paragraphs with headlines rather than 1 big paragraphs.. What do you suggest? Like if they ask about the communication used.. Is it better to discuss the three types of communications used separately in three paragraphs or 1 big paragraphs but in order like start with written, then verbal, then graphic?
@StockwellSafety3 жыл бұрын
Having the three headings could help to minimise repetition. Just be sure to always keep it relevant to the scenario.

@@StockwellSafety I'll make sure to use the P.E.R.S approach. Is there a specific way to reference for the exam?

Great videos. Is the word count advise at 17:02-17:06 accurate. I'm confused, I thought 10 point question would be 300 to 330 words
@StockwellSafety3 жыл бұрын
Hi Sean, Yeah, you're right. What I'm trying to say in the video is try and hit 10 points (if it's a 10 point question), with each point being 10 words (don't know where 100 came from). Basic arithmetic fail by me! I'll make some edits and re-upload this video.
@kellyofficer2771 Жыл бұрын
@@StockwellSafety is it not 30 words per point so 10 x 30 = 300 word (plus 10%) = 330 words for 10 point question? please correct me if i have misinterprited this

IS THERE ANSWERS FOR QESTIONS GIVEN TO ASSESOR OR THIS PAPER TO CHECK. OTHERE THE EXAMINAYION RESULTS WILL B BASED ON SUBJECTIVE BASED ON THE ASSESOR WHO IS CHECKING.

More importantly will this certificate get you a job in health and safety for career changers that have been working in a warehouse operative job for the past 2 yrs?
@StockwellSafety Жыл бұрын
No. A certificate on its own won't get you a job. You'll need experience, the right attitude and some good fortune too.

Are general certificates with the BSC done in the same way? I have an upcoming exam in April and then again in May.
@StockwellSafety3 жыл бұрын
If you have 2 exams to do it might be that you're doing the 'old' format certificate. The 'new' format involves 1 exam (open book) and a practical risk assessment project.
