Can Delta Force REPLACE DMZ?

I think expecting anyone to replace a cod mode is asking a lot. What we love about dmz is the fact that it’s call of duty in a casual extraction shooter. Probably never going to happen. Real shame Activision gave up on the best mode they’ve ever built! Just imagine what DMZ could have been with years of updates. 😢

i really enjoyed DMZ when it was in beta...and i don't even like COD.

The updates are what ruin it. Everyone is running around with pokemon skins and laser rifles. Just play fortnite if that's what you're looking for lol

I think dmz was good because of the moments. Squad battles while everyone is trying to extract. Vehicle chases with proximity chat. Sniping battles. These are all things that can be replicated in another game. (In my opinion)

The TTK is nuts, use a Vector with purple ammo and it kills the best armor in the game in 0.7s to the chest, 0.3s to the head. It is wild how quick you can die. This is like old Tarkov meta, go max gear and push as hard as you can, watch Landmark's stream from yesterday for how to play the game as it is currently balanced, hyper aggression full sweat wins at the moment. Hopefully the dev's tweak things, maybe 200 hp base health (currently 100).

I feel the Havoc mode was where this game shines. Its feels like a breakthrough game with cod touches to it. I was pretty happy overall with the bones of the game.

IMO For this game to be interesting they need to introduce a plate system as well as the ability to self revive. The fact that it’s so difficult to fix your armor is going to kill this mode! What makes dmz dmz is the drawn out engagements! So much variety in dmz as far as the fights go.

I mean, healing yourself or fixing your armor seems to take about as long as fully re-plating. I think the biggest fixes would be prox chat, a kill feed, being able to assimilate, and maybe adding some grapple-hook or squirrel suit or some way to use more height in the maps.

i agree with you on the time to kill. either that or people should be able to purchase high tier armor for way less $$. load the game... gear up for 10 minutes (buying armo,r helmet, health), wait to find a match (as a solo player), load into a game only to be melted by someone using better ammo than me while im using blue armor and helmet. time to kill needs to increase or things should be made to cost way less. I should have written about this on the survey but it wasnt an issue in the earlier levels bc i wsa just fighting bots. Its funny how they ask you to complete a survey within one hour of playing time when half the issues havnt come up yet.

It's clearly not that similar to DMZ, but having said that, it looks to be closer than Tarkov or Greyzone. Ultimately, is there another extraction shooter you can think of released in the last 2 years that's closer to DMZ? Unfortunately, this might be as close as we've thus far gotten.

As a console player I’m just excited to get an extraction experience. We have zero extraction shooter we can play! Hopefully DMZ comes back someday.

uninstall the laser.. thats why they spoted you every time in that.. legendary .. combat at the end.

they need to make more use for the loot to make you want to pick it up, like medical gloves for making bombs and cameras for drones, tactical camera and other things and home made weapons.

Tried it out last night. Went into two raids and was killed twice in one shot each time from players I couldn't see at all. Definitely not for me. Thankfully, Space Marine 2 will be out in a few weeks and I'll have something good to play.

Well at least the ttk will hopefully be tweaked thats my main grip with the game the footstep audio is very good for placing enemy positions but kinda sounds like everyone wears clogs

I started playing about 10 minutes from alpha launch. The first 4-5 hours were great. Did maybe 12-13 games and leveled up to 11 in the extraction mode. Got some great loot including a couple red items worth 400k to 500k. Died a few times to mostly stupid mistakes but also close fought fights with other actual players. Mostly won though. I then logged off and only logged back on about 30 hours ish later. Since then... I either encounter fake AI players and smash them, or I encounter players in orange armor and using orange ammo and die in about a tenth of a second. In the split second you realize you are being shot you are already dead. Once I encountered someone I was sure was cheating, but didn't think cheats were out yet, but one quick google search showed videos of people using wall hacks and aimbot already. It's alpha, so will wait and see but my excitement about this being a replacement for my DMZ team has taken a huge hit.

Yeah I was playing with some Randoms yesterday and moved around to flank a player that had my team pinned down at the other end of a hallway. Snuck behind him and unloaded into his back, his character model just spun around 180° and one shotted me 🙃🙃🙃

The TTK in that initial gunfight was ridiculous. That's why I think everyone stopped playing Grayzone. There's no enjoyable gunplay in my opinion.

If DMZ released the Halloween event again, even if it was the same as last year, they would attract thousands of players. Really wish they would take the lead out and re-do DMZ. None of these games compare to DMZ at all.

I hated dmz because of all the armor. I could hs a dude with a sniper,only for his armor to save him.

They guy that killed you at 4:30 had lvl 4 ammo thats why he killed you so quickly

why has the volume been so low with these streams, delta force.? I had to double my volume output to hear the groups dialog

It definitely looks fun, but far more hardcore than I was hoping. I love all the detail, but can they PLEASE do something about the operator dialogue?! The ping callouts and phrases are awful. No one talks like that. Also, the currency system needs some tweaks. Drop a couple of zeros off the prices to keep things simple. No need to have a $60,000 helmet...

that first player was a cheater btw, we met him too and killed the whole server on Extraction mode :( so sad, he is still active and not banned at all....

I think unfortunately it's really mid and people are just desperate for anything that isn't Warzone at this point. But with development never know how this might end up 12-18 months from now, could be huge, could be forgotten.
