I had problems assembling my Stoeger STR-9C too after my first field strip attempt. The User manual does not say, but you will have a hard time pushing the slide back on the frame if the trigger is locked back to the rear after you did the initial trigger pull to remove the slide. I found that I need to push the trigger bar forward to get the trigger to reset. After the trigger moves forward, the slide is easily pushed backwards to properly assemble. I noticed in the video that the review had his trigger locked to the rear and forced the slide back. That's probably the reason why he had problems with the initial assembly.

And it ain't to hard on the eye's either. Only draw back on my pistol is it's Glock styled NY trigger. Thanks for the share!!

I own a *Stoeger STR-9S Combat* (the top of their line) and it is absolutely amazing! It comes with tactical high fiber optic sights to cowitness with an optic, optics ready cut and plates, threaded barrel, flat face trigger, deep front and back slide serrations, a flared magwell, three 20 rounds extended magazines included, among other features. It is very accurate, and digest all ammo, it has great ergonomics and a nice trigger pull. I highly recommend it. The one shown is not a representative of the whole.

I too have the Conbat. Agree with everything you have written. It is a very lightweight firearm. I turned mine into a "Roland Special" with compensator, Streamlight and Swampfox optic. The suppressor sights co-witness very nicely and the trigger seems better than an average Glock. Finally it just look wicked.

i had high hopes for the Stoeger, mainly due to the price point. i was hoping it was a good cheaper option, like most Turkish guns. i seen a review on the str combat a while back. the screws that hold on the optic cover plate were flat head screws. are you kidding me, how much do torque bit screws cost? i haven't seen many negative reviews on the Stoeger handguns. most manufacturers have a bad one slip threw, every once in a while. when i first bought a m & p 2.0 compact for my wife. first time shooting it, the mag plate on one of the mags came off, dumping all the rounds. we were both shooting it & the point of impact at 7 & 10 yards, the groups were significantly to the left. looking at the sights, the rear sight was drifted to the right quite a bit. since then the gun has performed flawlessly & it is my wife's carry gun.

I hope this is just a lemon, and agree that lemons happen. It has a 5-year warranty, we'll see that goes.
@v.german11b2 жыл бұрын
It is a lemon. It happens. Stoeger was owned by Benelli, now Beretta. The Stoeger factory has cutting-edge technology, CNC machining, skilled trade workers, and so forth. People call Turkish gun "cheap" with disdain because they are not as expensive as Glock. Well, guess what: Glock set a high price, calling it "innovative value," making the markup profit margin very high. In reality, the cost of Glock pistols for civilians should be the cost under the "Blue Label" Program. People, and some gun snobs, believe that paying more it means is "best." The fact of the matter is, Glock pistols are overpriced. *Turkey gun companies manufacturers good quality firearms at AFFORDABLE FAIR PRICES.* That's the difference. Cheap is a Hi-Point.

We do our best to read every comment KZbin shows us. @GBGuns Hey there, have a question. When doing a takedown and reassembling I can't get the slide to rack all the way back unless I reset the trigger. Is this a defect? And I doing something wrong?
@GBGuns Жыл бұрын
I don't know, but this gun definitely requires more force than others.
@jimmyraphaely8005 Жыл бұрын
@@TheSaintDario I just purchased this firearm. My first disassembly I had this same issue. I brought it right back to the gun shop and they had told me you have to reset the trigger in order for it to slide back and rack all the way. Not like a glock how it racks in right away.
@landonwood3977 Жыл бұрын
I could only get this assembled and disassembled by manipulating the trigger! Ie, I had to rack the gun (empty, no mag obviously) and then push the slide back while dropping the pins down. Then, i could pull the trigger to release the slide. Otherwise, the trigger not engaged will be more difficult to disassemble. Then, when going back together, I refused to force the slide and I reset the trigger so its breakable again. That allowed full slide reassembly to the frame. The manual is wrong otherwise its a manufacturer error but all in all, Ill have to test its reliability. If its reliable, I can look past the odd way of assembly or disassembly.
