emotions are a part of life, people idolizing fictional characters (or andrew tate or the liver ling, etc) who don’t feel emotion (andrew tate definitely feels, but only seething towards women XD) are probably the people who are the unhappiest in life and just want to get away. but the thing is, these people are fiction or caricatures of unfeeling people. no one feels zero emotion. i agree with what you say about how stoicism is widely sensationalized now- and has been twisted into something it’s not.

Absolutely agree, I think people should read into actual Stoicism instead of building their lives around fictional characters
