It's been a mess since the end of the Hughes era - we stuck with him for too long despite results being really poor as he had sold off most of the stalwarts of the dressing room for fly-by-nights like Jesse. By the time we did pull the trigger any decent manager was gone and we were stuck with Lambert, it wasn't his fault but we were too far gone. Since then we haven't consistently stuck with a manager and it's led to the mess we're in now.

Stoke are the most infuriating club to support. The Manchester United of the championship. (Living off their past, expecting the same results). When will people realise yes the Coates’s family have money, but how many times have they constantly got it wrong on the pitch. Ohh look at us with our free away travel. Nobody will want to travel away at this rate so no wonder it’s free 😂. I just wish for one bloody season we aren’t stinking the place out. We seem to have 5 decent games a season, how exiting! Culture. In my life, from high school up to professional levels, all the stories of achievement involved culture and unity of vision. If you don't get that critical mass in the Club (and boost it with the fan base,) you get...this.

Certainly something to build on after tonight's game. For me they should be drilling into the players the fact that this is the second oldest club and get them playing for the badge again like they used to. To be honest though I think there's a lot of players at a lot of clubs that don't have the passion. Back in the day they would play out most of their career at one club. These days they up and leave as soon as things get tough. I think Stoke fans just like any others will show their support if the team looks like they actually give a shit and graft even if they don't win you at least want them to be putting the effort in.

Luckily for us, after really grinding out results against seven of the best teams in the division, just as we entered in to a run of fixtures where we should be able to get points - Stoke turned in to Brazil circa 1970. Fml

The FFP rules are there to provide a level playing field (in theory). Why should the Coates family be complaining that they aren't allowed to spend their way out of trouble? It's spending all that money that has got them in the pickle they're in.

I think they're using that as an excuse. I doubt there are many other clubs below Premier League level that have the financial muscle that the Coates have, yet other clubs manage to build a successful squad despite the limitation of funds.

Since John Coates being handed the reins we've become a sinking ship worse than we've ever been. Now he's brought in Johnathan Walters goodness only knows who's in charge anymore. The fans have had enough. This as gone on long enough and I agree with what ex players have said its about time Stoke found thier routes again and work out what direction were actually going in. John Coates running the club as holiday camp definitely is not the answer and why any one would also want to manage us apart from the money is beyond me. We're the laughing stock of league and its got to stop now.

Its the same kind of manager every time. We have money so why not spend more on a manager say like Benitez, instead of the owners saying "This is all we are paying for a manager" hence pretty much half baked managers. We got the manager from Norwich who were below us in the league with a terrible track record. What else could we expect. It will continue until we spend more on an establised manager who can still perform under immense pressure.

As a stoke fan . Pulis made us hard to beat , hard working ,physically strong . Drilled coaching but effective . Pulis didn't get the chance spend half as much sparky . Sparky was backed style of play improved imbula who ? . We become easy play against clueless wben havimg more % of the ball unable score & could no longer defend . Sparky 9th 3 times & a league cup semi final but let players get away with murder pulis was more strict Pulis got us up kept us up had a style of play & wasnt conceeding playing out of the back 😂 .fa cup final & a european tour that lead past qualifaction & a group stage Careful what you wish for as after the lords mayors show come a circus of horrors . I will take a 16th place finish now and go up 1 place each year for 9 years straight . Clucas was our player Of the season In 19/20 he scored 11 goals but he Got injuries at the end which ruined him the problem at stoke is a joke sacking manager after manager is our biggest problem we start a project Call for managers head after 3-4 losses, the worst decision was sacking schuey the fans loved him :( our clubs a poison chalace for managers ! The fans are half the problem most Think we are a Premier league side were at best a lower half chanpionship side we have some good youth players but we keep loaning players never sign Them and re start every season ,the squad this season that are performing are all on loan next year we Will have a totally New squad how Can you build a project rellying on loans and Selling your stars or letting then go Collins souttar Campbell the list goes on weve signed some class players on loan In recent years harwood Bellis - philogene bidace delap hoever Carter vickers østigard if we had signed some pf these i Think we would be chalenging at the right end
