Great show as ever and always a treat to have the GOAT sharing his views. Congrats to K&K on 'nameless'. I generally agree with 11 on most things and his suggestion of Trestle or the Ranch are a natural choice as possible Olympic venues BUT think Kelly have gone a little parent foggy on suggestion about the Olympic altering the criteria to focus on producing prescribed manoeuvres that will exclude speed, power and flow or any creativity. Lets leave the one trick pony to speciality feature contest to those that can, but never to forget the rail and tube are the essentials foundation of surfing. Moving forward, I really hope Jordy cracks the Final 5, he deserves a WC as does JJF being ahead on points....not that sure I feel the same about Caitlan yet. Carrisas announcement to retire was unexpected but given the fact that she has lost two WC in the Final 5 has robbed her as the deserved winner on season points and is a massive loss to the sport and how WSL have diluted their brand legacy. A final thought on the Final 5, to revert to the WC decided on season points and revamp the Final 5 as Champ of Champions in which they have an exotic island surf off with mixed teams paired up.

Teahupoo was a let down overall but had some poignant moments. Kauli with his vast knowledge of his own break was one of the favourites and delivered. Thought Tati was unlucky not to get the decision in the final. Lack of tube was the difference. Enjoyed the show Lynchy with Kelly. LA for sure in the pool. It will be a demand from the IOC after the drag of the event in Tahiti. The GOAT could get involved with a state of the art wave arena. And of course how could USA Surfing deny the great man his place in Olympic history for delivering it. Will be the Andy McDonald of LA28.

You two are both legends but I gotta disagree with the Olympic wave pool idea. Surfing is a sport like no other and trying to make it like gymnastics will fundamentally change it. We could have surfers who have never even surfed in the ocean winning events because the mechanical perfection leads to technical prowess. And then there will be the surfers like myself who have no access to a wave pool and will automatically be at a disadvantage. Also, if the road to qualification is the WSL or the ISA where events are based in the ocean then why would we change the playing field to a wave pool? Let’s keep surfing true to its roots, where we develop a love for the ocean and a respect for its beauty and power. That is what the world should see. ❤️🙏

did Kelly think the Brazilian's 9.90 was a 10.0.

@@barton_lynch I've never been able to understand the 9.7 (whatever) Kelly got in that heat against John in 2014. It was a very large wave but it was so large Kelly was hardly inside the tube. How was that wave scored? On what criteria?

Why would'nt it be pick the best surfer for your country for the wave to be surfed (Pipe/Pipe Specilist, Tressels/Small wave surfer etc etc )....Should be the right person for the job

As an olympic sport there has to certain guide lines and criteria around qualification processes that have to be meet I suppose and thats why its different and I like it for that reason.

Love Kelly, but brah, what’s up with all the indecisiveness around naming your child? Something about that is weird brah. You’re gonna let your baby pick his own name? WTF?? Come on Kelly! You have a name, why is it a secret? Just say you don’t want people to know and it’s about privacy or something. Everyone would respect that. But everything you just said here was just weird Kelly, and you brought up the topic here! Did Elon Musk help you pick names and you’re now embarrassed cause you were convinced to commit to name the kid R2-D2?

Each to their own id say Mike, I dont know you win 11 world titles if you are completely normal ha. JJF's boy is named Darwin, Jack Robbo's Zen, so who knows lets see where Kel and Kalani go. Thanks for watching.

@@barton_lynch that’s true. He’s known to be a freak indeed. Nah, jokes aside, normally Kelly is pretty methodical about everything he says, so it’s sorta weird that he brings up the baby then says he has a name but we’re gonna let him, the baby, decide, eventually, or something to that affect? Just seems out if character for Kelly…like he’s either not wanting people to know, or is like intentionally trying to build suspense like we’re not gonna know his sons name till he wins his first title or something. I think we just all wanna know if he named the kid Gator Slater or not. 😂😂😂
